Nizuc Resort & Spa , Cancun

 Another outstanding vacation visit to Nizuc
once again we enjoyed our week in September at Nizuc. This truly is a World Class Resort with consistency in service, food and beverage and amenity. September is in the middle of the low season but in our belief a great time to visit- quiet, relaxed, special attention and weather was perfect with little rain.

 UPTOPIA for my children
We had an amazing time. The kids think life is a utopia there. They have become Winiks experts. Mel and Carlos are unbelievable guides for snorkeling. The pool staff as well as at each restaurant, the was attentive but advasive. The property is in amazing! Adults traveling have no fear, they have a completely separate area with your pool, beach & dining options. This resort is a HOME RUN!!!

 Cancun perfection
We stayed for 5 nights at this gorgeous resort. It was the best, stress-free holiday possible. Check inWe took a transfer (Canada transfer) for $50 round trip. The resort pick up was to be over $150. The car ride from the airport to resort was literally about 15-20 min. We arrived to a warm welcome and easy check in (though we weren't offered the green drink and towel we heard others got). RoomWe had a ocean view room on the 1st floor (actually the 2nd level) in building 9. It overlooked the mangrove area and had some view of water. I was worried about mosquitoes but that proved to be a nonissue. The room was serene and beautiful. There was a butler for the building. For the first 2 nights, we had a great treat left at turndown that catered to my being gluten free (but was forgotten in the last 3 nights). A fabulous birthday cake was left for me. POOLWe loved the pool area. The adult pool is smaller but the water was more refreshing at the larger pool. We loved having a cabana and jumping in the pool when we got hot. There was never a time when a cabana or a pool chaise was available. Also, always a great supply of thick towels.BEACHThe water had lots of grass on the bottom but the water was smooth. There was paddle boarding, snorkeling and personnel at the ready to be helpful. Waterside chairs always available as waitstaff. We loved the popsicles and yummy churros offered at both the beach and pool. FOODWe ate at every restaurant. Best thing was the breakfast brunch. Delicious and varied offerings. From the tamarind water and juices to local breakfast dishes to gorgeous pastries, we enjoyed a great start to the day. Lots of gluten free options. And we can't forget the bottomless mimosas!IndochineWe ate here the first night. Delicious. RamonaBeautiful service and presentation Terra Nostra This is the the weakest link. Averages food at best. La PuntaCozy restaurant. Loved the intimate feel. Good steakNote about beverages.....the drinks seemed weak. I don't drink often and can only handle a maybe one Margarita. We drank several frozen drinks from the bar and never did I feel any alcohol effect. SPAThe hydrotherapy is amazing and the massage was amazing. We loved Nizuc and can't wait to return

One of the most beautiful hotels in Mexico with a beautiful beach, great pools, spacious beautiful suites, and increidible spa... food, drinks and spa services were a little pricey but overall great experience.More

 Nizuc
Nizuc is an amazing resort. One of the best places I have ever stayed. The service is top notch and the food is amazing. The best part is how quick and easy it is to get to from the airport, but once you are there, it feels much more remote.

 beautiful place to rest
I spend my honeymoon here and it was amazing. The staff is polite and they treat you as the most important person in the facility. I should say it is a little expensive but it is worth the experience. It is a great place to rest. I've been in many resorts but this one excels in style. The food was delicious and the rooms are clean and spacious. I should say Nizuc is my favorite Cancun place to stay.

 Second visit
Following on from my previous review of Nizuc I had to visit again! I can confirm that the service is somehow even better and I came away as impressed as I was last time. I have referred so many friends as I firmly believe everyone needs to stay here at least once in their lives.I typically stay in over 20 high end hotels a year all across the world (including Dubai & Asia) and this is by FAR the best.

 A most Tranquil place
The service is excellent, the staff is very helpful and well trained, the food is wonderful and the drinks are magnificent...The beach is always clean as well as the water, the pools are gorgeous. Everywhere you go on the property you feel this tranquil, peaceful atmosphere...

 Heaven
So beautiful ....private....wonderful wonderful amenities...delicious and abundant breakfast...staff was so helpful and available at all hours. The spa was private and they make you feel pampered. The pool area was staffed so well.More

 Love Nizuc!
Once again was welcomed and felt at home for our two day trip. The staff is warm and genuine, food and beverage creative and delicious, spa expereince was one of the best in the world! Even got a few minutes after meetings to enjoy the pool with friends. Cafe de la Playa has the best breakfast buffet - lucky our jetBlue flight gets us their in time to enjoy. Maritur team provided safe and comfortable rides to and from the airport. So easy and beautiful drive. Can't wait to go back!

This review is long over due. I planned a Babymoon for my wife and I in november 2016. I reached out to the hotel about rates and availability. The representative was extremely helpful in finding me the best room for the rate plus put in the system a free upgrade for my occasion.I was in touch with Maria Torres at the Resort and she was helping me out every bit of the way.I ran into some complications and issues and i wasnt able to enjoy my stay at the resort after all that planning and i had to cancel my stay.Mrs Torres did what ever she was able to do to sure me to get a refund from the travel agent and make sure everything worked out.The customer service was above and beyond.I never had such a positive experience with any hotel in my life.I will definitely be booking the Nizuc for future stays in Cancun

 Service
One of the best places to rest in the world, very spacious facilities, delicious cuisine in the four restaurants we had dinner, the beach always clean but best of all .... Its people and its service (one of the best in the world )More

 Wonderful
We stayed in a double ocean view suite with two double beds. The location of the hotel was perfect, it was just ten minutes drive from the airport. On arrival we were amazed at the service. They did everything for us and always were prepared. As we got out our car someone got out our bags and took them away, we went to reception and they had the keys out on the desk ready for us. It was unbelievable how efficient they were. All the staff were so nice! Each building has its own concierge service, each run by a butler, ours were Luiz and Eduardo. As the building only had around 30 rooms, the butlers were doing everything for us, room service, booking our restraints, and anything else you wanted!The hotel was so small and quiet that at breakfast it is all very relaxed, around the pool there was a ration of around 1 staff per 2-3 guests. It was heaven! They did everything for us! And the food!!!! We visited the Asian restaurant 3 times during our 10 night stay and the same with the Italian. When eating all of the food, you felt as if you were dying and going to heaven! Having stayed in some very nice four and five star hotels around the world, my family and I immediately decided this was the best hotel we had ever stayed in. Getting the golf cart around the hotel was also very fun, and useful when it rained.Have recommended to everyone I have seen since I returned from this trip and will continue to do so fir a long time to come. Will certainly be returning in the future, if not later this year!

 Relax in a smart and elegant resort
The resort is very elegant and smart, fitting perfectly with the nature and the environment. Room were amazing, with a wonderful ocean view. Pool very nice. Unfortunately the sea was not so calm and clean, even if not bad and warm.Regarding dinner and lunch options I think La Punta is the best one, but also Terra Nostra is good. I would suggest to give to guest more options for Lunch and to enlarge the cocktail lists...there are not so many options.

 Near perfection
We stayed in a garden suite villa, and the suite was generous in its size and layout. What I think stands out most about this property - even above the beauty of the property visually and aesthetically - is the people who make up Nizuc. The warmth, sincerity, and focus on every detail to make your stay as enjoyable, relaxing, and magical as possible will overwhelm you in the best way.The hotel is away from the Hotel Zone (which is a good thing in my opinion) but close enough for a 10-minute drive for other dining or other activities off the property.There is enough variety of options for activities at Nizuc - dining (the food is amazing at all options we tried), beach, pool, and water activities, and a WOW-spa experience to enjoy.I have only positive comments to share about this property and its people that serve you there, and that has almost never happened given my (sometimes overly-demanding) tastes.

 Best family vacation
Everything great except the pool mosaic is sharp and unless you're doing laps, you might end up with a cut. The kids club is amazing, they can take care of kids for up to 7 hrs a day. The beach is amazing, very tranquil and less than 3 ft for a very big stretch so this allows a lot of activities you normally wouldn't do.

 Exceptional Experience
The level of service and pampering I received was out of this world and the food was amazing! From the moment i walked in I felt relaxed and was greeted with a cool towel and a refreshing beverage. I was also given a tour of the facilities and a detailed explanation of my room and its features. The staff was always there to help and assist you in anyway. I loved it!

 This property is outstanding.
This property is by far the best resort in the area. Every detail was impeccable. I have to try really hard to find one thing that could be improved upon so I will add that the adults only pool and the family pools should be swapped. We felt like outcast having to teach to smaller pool and the end of the resort to get way from screaming children. Otherwise it is a must visit location to experience bar none the finest in luxury get away.

Nizuc is one of the best hotels in the world I've ever been, the service, the foood, the facilities, make this place magic and unique. That's the reason why we choose it every year for the past five to go for a summer vacation.More

 Perfect hotel excep the receptionists
Nizuc hotel is much newer than many other Cancun hotels. The hotel arrangement is in a long line shape so you need to call to get one of super smiling bell boys coming to pick you up with the buggy for the transport. The ocean view room has rather amazing view with quiet sea and mangrove and we can have nice quiet breakfast in the terrace and watching the birds. The room is very nicely decorated and very spacious, super high ceiling and very quiet air-con. The hotel beach side offers free kayak, flat board as well as snorting tools, so that is a super plus when you don't want to go out. The restaurants are all nice and the bar has Cuban band performance every night. This hotel is almost perfect and I think the only not so good experience was all in the receptionist area. Somehow they are from another group of people in Nizuc - cold, unfriendly and impolite. I met three receptionists during our stay - the first one check us in is as cold as ice. The second one we ask for card key re-freshed because it was not working, he asked as it is our fault. The third one checked us out refused to give us an invoice in a very rude manner. So as long as you don't mind the rude receptionists, the super helpful and smiling bellboys and nice waiters in the hotel should give you a nice holiday.

 DON'T!!!!
You've been warned. BEYOND terrible, incompetent service. Front office is a DISASTER. They refused to call someone with authority. Refused. We were left to go in circles with front desk. Not what you want on vacation.Nizuc, you get a "F", complete fail! I never write reviews, Nizuc will make your head spin.There was a problem with the dates of our reservation, we spent 3 hrs dealing with staff in sweltering heat of the lobby. Even when we had already paid for the room. They are incapable of reasoning.No bueno. Also this place isn't that great. It has wannabe prostitutes hobbling around in old Loubs in the lobby and babies doing photo shoots. Seriously. Not quite my cup of tea, if you feel me.

 What a hotel - very nice
I travelled here in May for a work conference and all I can say was wow. This hotel very very classy - very up marketI loved the golf trolleys that took you around the resort and nothing was too much troubleI know this is a high end resort - but I did have a small issue. The rooms air con was pretty poor considering you in Mexico with the heat so high. Maintain man came looked at its and said it was find - but being on 24hrs it never dropped a degree and was stuck on 20c. However in truth the ceiling fan worked well so aircon was not a real issue but if I had been paying top dollar I would not have been happy - my company was so never mindThat said this place is amazing - real nice - lovely pools, beach restaurants- everything was great and you were not on cancun strip so peaceful

 AMAZING place for relaxation, good food and amazing views
I've been to Nizuc on my honeymoon, and I'm glad that I made this decision. Both me and my wife found this place AMAZING in terms of many aspects1- The combination of the privacy of the place and the great views it offered was perfect2- The views from our suite was very relaxing and pleasurable 3- The breakfast they served was really really brilliant!! we extremely missed it when we left there..4- There are many locations than can be visited next to the place, and here I'd highly recommend Rio Secreto5- The SPA was more than amazing!!Simply, if you are considering any hotel where you want to relax, disconnect, and have a good food, Nizuc is your place to go. You never need to think twice about it!!

 Site visit for Group Trip
I visited NIZUC in order to determine if it was a good place to bring my employees for a reward trip. We had been to the Resort at Pedregal in Cabo in 2016, so the the property needed to be awesome to get us to change venues this year. It was! NIZUC is much like Pedregal in that it is small, with a great personal feel, and awesome service. The bars and restaurants are awesome. Patricia Scholl was a great host and I feel confident she will help us plan a great trip. I am in the process of booking my trip now,

 Despite Trip Advisor listing it in searches of All Inclusive properties only, it is NOT All Inclusive
Beautiful grounds; maintenance of the rooms not up to standards given what they charge; mediocre, exceedingly over-priced food. If you want an 80-minute massage be prepared to cough up close to US$500.

 Wonderful Nizuc
It's only when you come away from an amazing property, you truly realise just how special it is.The attention to detail and customer service was phenomenal! The breakfast experience is undoubtedly unrivalled and I can understand why guests looking for a polished yet seamless and discreet service come to Nizuc.Your staff are amazing and should be complimented on their genuine and personal service, which was consistent throughout our stay in all areas of the hotel.It's lovely to be addressed personally by your staff and we were made to feel extremely special at all times..I would whole heartedly recommend this hotel.

 Best hotel in town
If you thought Cancun could only be a spring break destination, I invite you to be proven wrong by visiting this hotel. Nizuc offers a delightfully exclusive experience, magical and of unquestionable quality. If you want to discover true Mexican hospitality, this is definitely the place to do it.

 Amazing Hotel
I think this is one of the best hotels I have been to on par with Taj Exotica in Maldives and I have travelled all around the world Service and standard very high. Quality of food - very high but breakfast overpriced

 Nizuc Review - Fantastic!
I had come solo from 3 days in Tulum and a friends HIGHLY recommended ending my trip at Nizuc. I am so glad I did. Seriously everything is perfect. I travel often and this ranks in the top 3 hotels/resorts. I was hesitant about Cancun b/c of it's reputation but this hotel is extremely classy and relaxed. I highly recommend taking advantage of some of the daily guest offerings ( I did a wine tasting at Ramona)Ramona and Indochine are AMAZING comparable to the restaurants I have in NYC. And the buffet breakfast at Cafe de Playa is top notch, not like most cheesy breakfast buffetts. I was solo and everyone made me feel so welcome. I am already planning to come back,

 Perfection
I've had the pleasure of staying in some of the most beautiful hotels in the world. I thought the one and only in Cape Town would take some beating. The Nizuc in Cancun was a truly wonderful experience, the most incredible staff, and superb food with the best pool I've ever had the privilege of swimming in. A truly exceptional hotel.

 Delicious breakfast
I brought my family (wife and 2 kids:15 and 9) to have some breakfast at the buffet of Rest. Cafe de la Playa at Nizuc Resort &Spa. It was delicious, great service , clean, abundant , great environment. Today we will visit the brunch at their Terra Nostra rest.

 Enjoyed the staff a lot.
The people who work at Nizuc should be commended daily. The facility, in general, is nice. Beach is below average. To charge two adults and one 10 year old $100+ for breakfast is larceny. The buffet is good. But...it really is bacon and eggs and croissant. Don't big it up. I won't go into the limited dinner choices and the prices.

 Service second to none
Rooms spacious for our family of four. Normally we book a suite but this felt spacious enough. Modern, clean with masculine decor as echoed throughout the hotel. Exclusive feel and hotel set apart from the nearby strip of hotels. Service was absolutely amazing and even more so after having suffered at the hands of the miserable and surly British airways attendants on the business class flight over from London. Hope the staff are treated well at this resort because they really made our family stay seamless and special. Few things made me very nearly give it four stars but that was due to the design of the hotel. Breakfasting area was elegant but too dark and businesslike for an Oceanside resort. Most of the room storage and amenities seemed to be in the combined large bathroom and dressing area, e.g. No storage or mirrors in the main room. As toilet and shower is part of the dressing room area with no lock this sometimes was a pain having no privacy, especially when you have older children. Quite a few sockets also in room not working. Stingy on bathroom products for a family of four but too be honest they would have obliged very quickly if I'd been bothered to point it out earlier. Also for me personally lobby area was too functional and not inviting too chill out- quite narrow. The other alternative which was the bar was great but too over air conditioned and masculine to chill out for many hours as a family in the evenings. The family pool needs a special mention. We have been to many resorts around the world but the pool and the bar there was fabulous- we spent many days chilling there. Beach nothing special and only thing is that hotel is located in a bay so we didn't get full feel of a proper ocean view. Also shame that one of their best restaurants la punta did not allow children- they need to change this as many families we spoke to were disappointed by this. Getting cabanas by the bed were a delight with plenty of choice and a very nice change from having the stress of needing to get to poolside early enough. Overall a very pleasant experience that helped us forget the British airways flight over!

 Add it to your bucket list
You must come at least once to enjoy the beauty and serve of this great hotel. Its staff and management are very friendly and service oriented, they will take care of all your needs whilst you relax in one of the pools or the grand spa. All the food is delicious, the choice in ample

 more than "perfect"
everything was just way beyond perfection. loved every single element. sorry that i cannot give you any good thought of what to improve. it was just so good. the food, the service, people, pool, the beach, and the suites, just amazing.

 Work trip...
One of the best 5⭐ resorts hands down, not only in Mexico...in the world! We had a TV shoot in the hotel, and Aurea Marciel and Patricia Scholl's professionalism made the production run flawless. I will definitely come back for a personal trip at least once a year!
