 Sedona Grill
We very much enjoyed our time at the Sedona grill. Maldonado, Juan & Jose we very attentive to us and our needs. My husband wished for lunch instead of a late breakfast, but opted for the buffet since lunch was unavailable. This was our second visit here and will definitely go back! Thanks Maldonado, Juan and Jose.

 Great hotel, great service
Great hotel with great views & great service. The most comfortable chairs at the pool ever. Great restaurants. Salad bar at La Capella next door is amazing. Breakfast buffet at Sedona grill is wonderful. So many things to try both places. I don't usually do buffets or salad bars, but worth it. We especially love Hidalgo at the pool, very helpful & he really took care of us! He called us by name the whole time, made recommendations & served our every need!

Nice place for a breakfast, tasty food and friendly service thanks to inventive waiters Maldonado and Juan. Despite rainy weather if the beginning of October, the place a cozy atmosphere - feels almost like at home.More

 Business and Pleasure
I had a good room on the 12th floor over looking the pool and ocean. The room was clean and the housekeepers did an excellent job. Fabiola was the name of the housekeeper that attended my room most of the time. At the adult pool my wife and I had Manuela and she was on top of her game. She was always there to see if we needed anything but not a pest. She was very nice. This was a slow week for the hotel and my room came with breakfast so the expense was helped by that and the discounts they gave me.

 Inconsistent Service !!
Either if you are Platinum, Gold or Silver member they never offer you an upgrade. BTW the hotel was at 46% attendance. Check-in was too slow with inexperienced staff ..... too young. I asked for some white sheets to work in my Ocean Front Suite..... after one hour I went to the lobby to pick them up. At the pool waiters feel tired as the hotel completely. The 16 yo seen in a lot of areas of the resort. Great location !! Great restaurants across the street, specially Harry's. But it's a shame you don't have even a good bar at the hotel. What saves the hotel....the large pools and beach, it's worth for that. But disappointing in service...BTH it's my 6th time at the hotel in 15 years. This was the second worst. I can't imagine in high season.

 Great Stay at a Solid Hotel in Cancun
Customer Service was top notch from the minute we arrived until we left. Lobby was elegant and filled with Fresh Flowers so herself took the usual 77 Pics.Large grounds with plenty of pools, some adult only and easy beach access. Drinks reasonably priced at the pool with fast service as always. Great views from the Rooms which were spacious and clean. Free valet was nice but call ahead as some nights only one guy to get cars and collect luggage. I would definitely go back here and they really made us feel special. No signs of renovation as I expected some. Harry's Restaurant across the street was to amazing.

 Top notch service
Although the rooms could use a bit of an update (my 1 bedroom suite is spotless and comfortable but the furnishings, fit and finishes could use a touch up) everything else about the hotel is top notch. Gorgeous pools, grounds and beach, food is good and the service is some of the best I have experienced in Mexico. From the staff at the restaurants to the team at the pool, everyone has been excellent. A special thank you to the night manager and front desk team who went above and beyond the call of duty when my husband was trying to get a hold of me (this was totally my fault and they really went out of their way - it is beyond appreciated). I whole heartedly recommend this hotel based on the service alone. Thanks to the team for making my stay a great one!

 IT SHOULD HAVE BEEN A PERFECT VACATION !
Stayed for 4 nights with husband (Platinum Member). We booked the Sand Dollar Package which included $50 per day USD credit "Misc Discounts for Resort Credit Promotions". When we arrived we booked Club 91 for $150 per day - had always enjoyed this on previous trips with a friend. So far so good. Enjoyed the pool area and looked forward to the food and drinks at Club 91. Muriel was very friendly every evening.The second evening as we left Club 91 we asked for a print out of our bill. It showed that for 2 days the $50 per day had been subtracted from our bill. The next evening we asked for another print out of our bill. Muriel told us that the $50 per day credit didn't apply any more. We were given a separate print out showing how much credit we had for 4 days. We asked why it was given on the print out of our bill the night before. We were told we could use it at the Spa. It was Sunday night??? and we were leaving early on Monday morning??? and neither of us are Spa people. . I remembered when I stayed with my friend, the $50 credit each day had been subtracted from our bill.Because Club 91 was being closed down for upgrades on Monday, we were told we could eat breaktfast at Sedona Grill. They would note it on our Room Number that breakfast was included. It ended up being a big hassle before it was straightened out. Monday morning our ride came for us at 9am. We checked out about 8:35 and questioned why the $50 per day credit was taken off on our first print out but after that we were told, it didn't apply. I asked why would we pay $150 per day for food and drinks. I also said that when I stayed with a friend that $50 per day was taken off the total of the bill. We were told "WE NEVER DID THAT!" Then they said we could get something at the Gift Shop. I asked if jewelry counted for the credit purchase. Our check out person didn't know, another person said "Maybe". So that's what we did being there was this large credit that would have disappeared.After we came home, I found the three bills that were paid for the three reservations my friend and I had. The total on each included four $50 credits that were subtracted from our bill and then the bill was divided in half. It is very plain to understand.Unfortunately this left a bad taste for a vacation that would have been stared as "Perfect". If $50 credit for food and drinks does not include Club 91 food and drinks, it should be stated on your reservation page. And the check in people should notify you when you pay for the Club 91 upgrade. I still don't understand why after 2 nights stay, the credit was taken off the total bill and then suddenly we were told it didn't apply.

 Best resort in Cancun!!
Our expectations were truly exceeded! The resort itself was spectacular and facilities were very clean and renovated. The spa was beautiful!!! GO THERE FOR SUNSET! You will not regret it. The pool was very relaxing and the infinity pool was so cool!! The gym had a lot of equipment and came with a view! It overlooked the beach and lagoon.The prices at the restaurants were affordable compared to most JW Marriott’s. Our favorite was Mikado (Casa Magna) and Gustino’s Italian Grill (JW.)Mikado- Our Chef there was excellent! I wish I could remember his name!750 Pizzeria- Andrian is the best employee there!! The customer service I received from him was incredible. I met him the first day we arrived.. He helped me find some beverages. We soon became good friends and he took excellent care of us during our entire trip. He surprised us with a desert and personalized card on our last day! He was the best! The pizza here is EXCELLENT and sandwiches are very good. It’s a nice change if you looking to eat in.Gustivos- . The food was outstanding and I would HIGHLY recommend for a special night. The pizza, pasta, and steak were all very fresh. Abel truly made out experience here! He has an amazing customer service manner; he is totally focused on providing a superior quality service and exudes an excellent positive attitude. He was a pleasure when we dined at the Gustivo. I asked him for the cork on our wine bottle since we were celebrating our anniversary. He set it on the table for us. He surprised us with a chocolate dessert for our anniversary that was excellent!!! He also brought me a rose at the end. It was a very special night. The next day, we had a card waiting in our room with the wine bottle label. Truly outstanding service by Abel!Pool/Outdoor restaurant- The restaurant at the pool is very good. I got the Cobb Salad and Grouper sandwich a few times. The grouper was so moist and fresh! Ask for Benjamin, he is the best! BOOK THIS RESORT. YOU WILL NOT REGRET IT!CRISTINA KEETH

 Anniversary Trip
This was my 1st time staying at JW and my husbands 2nd time. This hotel is fantastic! The service is outstanding, the staff incredibly friendly, the food and drinks are great and of course, the ocean views are amazing! The swim up bar and pool on the south side of the building were far more secluded than the other main pools and offered a peaceful swim or siesta. Rafael was our bartender and took great care of us the entire time as did the entire staff at the pool(Jonaton & Abiel). Upon arrival, the concierge staff gifted us with a bottle of champagne for our anniversary. We weren't able to enjoy it prior to leaving, so we asked the concierge to gift it to a couple we met that were on their honeymoon. The staff let me write a personal note to them and then ensured that it would be sent to their room asap.I couldn't have been more impressed with this hotel and plan to be a return guest for life.

 Birthday Trip to Cancun
Came here for the first time on a last minute surprise trip for my birthday. My boyfriend and I absolutely loved the service and the beachfront property. We arrived at 6am even though check in was at 3pm and they still accommodated our early arrival. The food was delicious & buffet offered a large variety of options. Maldonado & Victor were very friendly and made our 3 day experience there feel like we were at home. They thought of everything and were always available to help with anything we needed. DEFINITELY RECOMMEND visiting the JW Marriott in Cancun! We will be sure to return. Thanks Maldonado!

 Made my wife happy
The day before our trip we found out that the club 91 was going to be closed two days after we arrived due to low occupancy and need to renovate. My wife was ready to cancel the trip or move to another hotel. Thankfully Manuel Peon, Club 91 Manager, called us minutes after we received the notice and promised to make everything better. Manuel and the entire staff outdid themselves. Every details was covered and our trip went from disaster to fabulous in short order. It was all about the genuine enthusiasm of the management team and staff alike. Manuel and Eduardo made sure our overall experience was set up for success and turned us over to Miguel Chan at the pool/cabana and the rest was amazing.A special call out to Abner and Carlos at the poolside – they made every day great - we highly recommend the cabanas. Gabriel and Ricardo at the Sedona Grill – professional and exceptionally kind, Jessica and Muriel (best top shelf margarita ever) at the club 91, and all of the wonderful staff that make it a pleasure to spend our vacation at the JW Cancun.

 Yet again, the JW Marriott Cancun delivers!
I've lost track how many times I have been to this hotel. I come for quick get-away weekends to get some quiet time to work on my business & to get a quick "recharge" -- hop, skip & a jump away (2-ish hour flight & 20 minutes from the airport). I return to the JW every time for many reasons ...but top of the list is the service. I've toyed with trying out some new locations -- but each time I come, the service makes me come back. This time was no different -- they really know how to treat their loyal customers. After day 1 was complete, I returned to my room and my favorite hostess (Lourdus ...aka LuLu) had a dozen yellow roses, a welcome note, fruit, and a bottle of wine waiting for me!. Um, wow. Totally not necessary ...and totally delightful! And my housekeeper for this time was a lovely woman by the name of Gisela -- you should have seen the way she set-up my room w/ towels, a red rose, and a note. And I cannot forget to mention the waiters at breakfast ....some of my favorites were there ....Victor and Angel (and a new server Elezar??). The JW keeps its staff year over year ...clearly because the JW must treat them right and their training is impeccable. It is like a "home away from home" to go back time after time and be welcomed with a smile and a hug ...and by name. My message was to die for ...thank you Yolanda! Per usual, I always feel compelled to say thank you -- and did so to the service manager - Edward. What a delight he was and is! Cannot say enough about this property. Everyone down to the gentlemen handing out towels in the morning to the service at the pool ...one delight after another. I never leave the hotel ...it has a GREAT gym, great service, great food, beautiful property ....the perfect 3 day weekend for me every time. See you all in January!

 Spa
Had a couples massage at the Spa at hotel by Carmen and Vicki and it was wonderful. It was the perfect way to end our vacation. The staff was outstanding very friendly and helpful at all times. Beach service was great. Our family had a wonderful time.

 So good we stayed an extra day!
We really enjoyed our stay at the JW Marriott! There are lots of choices in Cancun and I can't speak to the other ones (except for one we visited as a timeshare tour and that one was a shanty in comparison), but I can say that this resort is fabulous. The service was excellent - from Marsela at check-in who upgraded us for my daughter's bday, to the wonderful staff at Beachwalk pool bar (Antonio, Manuela, Abiel), to Omar at the spa - really everyone we came in contact with. The building and grounds are fabulous. To us the best part was probably the fitness center and spa. The fitness equipment looked brand new, state of the art, cardio equipment overlooking the gorgeous ocean. The spa has a second floor that you can access for the day with certain spa treatments (or pay 300mx without) - it's worth it either way! We spent a few hours using the sauna, jacuzzis, just napping in the "relaxation room" and my goodness - the showers with views overlooking the ocean! Toiletries provided gratis, from razors and shaving gel to hair cream and after-sun gel. They are starting renovations next month, although it's hard to see what they think needs improving. We definitely look forward to returning!

 Sedona Grill
Wow, the atmosphere and decor was beautiful, the food was excellent both Dinner and Breakfast. The buffet food choices were excellent. The Mexican dinner buffet looked amazing. They even had a live mariachi band that came to personally serenade us. (Awesomeness). Our breakfast servers Maldonado and Gongora really stood out and seem to really go the extra mile to make sure we had the best experience. They took our photos, kept our drinks coming, and made sure that we were enjoying our food. They were very pleasant, professional, always smiling and checking on us.. I really love this place. This has been the best experience we have had on our many vacations. Highly Highly Recommend.

 Excellent way to experience Cancun
It was the first time to Cancun for all 3 of us and the initial booking process was a little overwhelming. Many people recommend staying at an all inclusive hotel so you don’t have to pay for food and alcohol but the location looked gorgeous so we booked anyway. We were very satisfied with our decision. From the moment we arrived all staff were friendly, warm, and genuinely wanting us to have a great time while have our needs met. The resort is absolutely gorgeous and all the restaurants had food that was amazing in taste and excellent in presentation. We had an especially great breakfast at Sedona grill. The food was delicious and there was so much selection since it comes in buffet. Our waiter and host Maldonado and Gongora were so friendly and went out of their way to ensure we had a great breakfast. Overall we will be recommending this resort to all our friends and we shall be back next summer for sure! Cancun was a great decision for a birthday getaway.

 Sedona
This is an amazing restaurant, we've come here every morning for the breakfast buffet on our honeymoon. They have so many options for breakfast (including gluten free muffins!), and all of the servers are so wonderfully kind and attentive. Gongora, Maldonado, and all of the other servers here are always making sure we are well taken care of. Highly recommend!

 Sedona
This place has the best all you can eat breakfast! They have so many choices and the best service! Gongona and Maldonado were so helpful and nice while we were eating at Sedona and they made sure we had everything we needed the whole time. Definitely would recommend to anyone coming to Cancun!

 Dissapointment :(
They "upgraded" my room and put me next to a drunk fighting young couple. A room that is not an upgrade but a downgrade.Nothing is included (not even water! They gave two tiny bottles of water when in Mex you can not drink from the sink) even though we bought "all inclusive package" through Expedia, their answer was: "call expedia, we can not do anything"Yes you can! We are here experiencing your hotel, you could offer at least breakfast included so we would feel you are trying to help.The restaurant pricing is not only in dollars but waaay too expensive. I need minimum 200usd a day just for food (not buffets) .It is ruining a trip we needed to have just to relax from the earthquake in mex city where we had been helping for 3 days 24/7 no rest.And now we have to deal with a tiring expensive bad experience.Btw the $ is a pressure since we also lost our appt and we need to find a place to live next week when we are back.I am just tired and sad .Btw, the people are nice and the food was really good but again extremely expensive.

 Top Resort in Cancun
What a stay! Beautiful views of the ocean. Cabanas are worth the rental. Great service on all fronts. Fine dining within the resort. Club 91 is 100% worth the money. The spa and services were top nothc. We were told the JW and Secrets were the top 2 in Cancun. I know I would only want to return to the JW when I go back to Cancun. I had the most amazing stay!!!

 Not on a convention, stay at next door Marriott
The JW Marriott does currently not offer any reason to stay at JW and not at the next door Casa Magna Marriott. Rooms are updated at the Marriott (while JW will redo them in the next months), breakfast is basically identical (except in price), restaurants in both hotels are accesible without leaving the adjoining properties (there are 4 at Marriott and 2 at JW), and staff is good at both hotels, but better at Marriott. So unless you need to stay at JW because of a convention, at least until the end of 2017 make Marriott your place in Cancun.

 A Week In Paradise
My wife and 3 month old son visited the JW for a week and had an amazing time. We originally booked Club 91; however, due to low occupancy, they were not able to offer the benefit during our stay (found out a few days before our trip). Our disappointment only lasted a short time until the manager (Manuel Peon) personally reached out to us and asked what he could do to make-up for the inconvenience. He made everything perfect for us and without his personal touch, we might not have made the trip. The hotel staff was always courteous (as you would expect out of a JW). After a few days, the pool staff knew our names and drink orders by heart. The pool is crystal clear (salt water chlorination) and the lounge chairs were very comfy. The rooms are spacious and have great balcony views. The mattress is a "Marriott" Posturepedic bed which was extremely comfortable. In all honest, the room needs updating (the furniture and carpets are outdated); however, we didn't spend much time in the room as everything you need and want is outside!All in all, it was a great vacation and we look forward to returning.

 Amazing Dining Experience at Gustino
I had my birthday dinner at the Gustino Restaurant at The JW Marriott. I don't think any other place would of topped my experience here. The food was not only delicious but the presentation was beautiful. What made my experience even more memorable was the staff. I would like to give Julio, Eduardo and Sugey a shout out. Thank you for making my birthday extra special. Thank you from the bottom on my heart.

 Waking up in Paradise
Can I give this hotel 6 stars? The views were amazing--the pools exquisite, the beach terrific. But the thing that made this hotel special was the people! Eduardo, Nadia at front desk. Laura and the great housekeeping team.Israel the doorman. Eleazar was the most amazing waiter at the Sedona Grill. He made us feel like family and was attentive and wonderful.The breakfast deal was great--the buffet had every kind of food you could imagine--salmon, Asian, Mexican, and an omelette station. There was a convenience store that had great pizza and salads for those nights you didn't feel like doing anything heavy. Hotel in a great location--you could walk over to the Magna Marriott to try their restaurants. Bus stop right outside the hotel to get to town. I wasn't disappointed with a single thing--this was a great trip and a great hotel with wonderful lovely employees who smiled and greeted me every single time. Rooms were fine--spacious and a nice bathroom. But I didn't go to Cancun for the room. I ran out of time to try the spa but the description looked great. Next time! My only suggestion for the stay--I would book tours outside of the hotel. I paid a lot more booking at the on site agency then others on my tour. Another suggestion--when you go downtown everyone is looking to sell you a time share--and they hide it with discounts on the tours etc. Avoid them--and learn the phrase "No gracias" quickly. Don't go into their little offices or their businesses when they try to sell you a tour--it always ends up being a time share...Cancun--I will be back! Gracias for the great time JW Marriott!

 Best Vacation of My LIFE!!!!
I really don't know where to begin, I traveled alone to this hotel to celebrate my birthday from NYC. When the hotel found out I was travelling alone on my birthday for 15 days, they took service to the next level!!!! they surprised me daily wishing me a happy birthday, got me a cake and sang, decorated my room, sent me amenities, really made me feel special. They where my family for 15 days. the hotel staff from the bellmen, the housekeepers, front desk, everyone made me feel special. the hotel is beautiful and the beaches breathtaking. I wanted to name a few people that made this trip unforgettable, Coral Ramirez, Nery, Teresa, Florentino Pech, Julio y Eduardo

 Excellent Vacation Choice
What can you say about a vacation in heaven on earth? Well, first off, this is my 2nd visit to the property which is a statement in itself. And second, we are so glad that we have returned for our 2nd wedding anniversary.When we arrived in the room two days ago, there was a bottle of sparking wine, chocolate covered strawberries and a framed photo of us on the nightstand. Apparently, my husband organized all of this with the concierge ahead of time to my surprise and what a nice surprise! On day 2, our room attendant, Gabriel, went above and beyond with the towel animals decorations -- and an ornate decoration on the bed -- a heart being hugged by a bear using rice as the medium. It was really special -- also, there were rose petals in the hallway and the tub was filled with a rose petal bubble bath. Now moving on to the resort itself and how we have kept ourselves busy -- we have gone to the indoor hot tub in the spa every morning. What an amazing way to wake up! It's huge and in a really beautiful environment. Then we head to the beach and have had excellent service both days by Hidalgo from the Beachwalk restaurant. Just when we needed a refill on a beverage, he magically appeared. And today just as I was starting to feel a bit "too" warm from the sun, he walked over with ice cold towels! I almost cried. It was so lovely. And truly -- all of the service here has been truly excellent and I am looking forward to the rest of the 6 days that we will be here and will check in once again at that time as I really want to praise everyone that has given us such special service....

 Relax and let the staff do his Magic
Spent 9 nine days at the resort with my wife this September. The property is well locaded near restaurant and mall. The resort and the beach are very clean and the pools are wonderful.Our expectations were truly exceeded. We met and exchanged with many people working there and each of them made our stay more enjoyable.Many thanks to the guys at the breakfast (food was delicious and service incredible), our housekeeper, the concierges and doormen... calling people by name would be unfair as everyone was excellent!

 Always PERFECT!
I visit this property a few times a year. I have stayed at the Ritz and Marriott Cancun (formerly the Casa Magna), which are very good resorts. The JW Marriott has always, and I mean, ALWAYS exceeded our expectations.Specifically, the entire staff is focused on "above and beyond" service. It's almost like an adults' version of Disney where they make virtually everything happen. The food is outstanding as are the accommodations, poolside and beach environments.We love to dine out and frequent Puerto Madero and others in the hotel zone. However, the JW & adjacent Marriott have exceptional restaurants. So much so, one really does not need to leave the property.The breakfast buffet and service at the Sedona Grill require a special "shout out." Mr. Victor, Maldonado and Gabriel are always there to ensure you have a fantastic experience. Dinner is wonderful too. The Argentinean restaurant La Caprilla is not to be missed either.Lastly, the bar staff at the pool. Jorge and more than a few others go out of their way to respect your privacy while making sure your beer, margarita, wine, etc. never runs out. My kind of service.My 2 pesosGregT.

Rooms are clean, updated, and have a nice view of the ocean. Get the breakfast option and its well worth it. Great place to spend with the family. Excellent service. Clean beach. uno mas cerveza por favor !!!More

 Wonderful family vacation!
We spent a week at the JW Marriott in Cancun from August 13-18, 2017. The hotel was gorgeous and the grounds were immaculate! Alvaro at the adult pool bar was amazing, Jesus the grounds keeper and Paulina in the lounge bar made our stay memorable!More

 Wedding Anniversary Trip
My wife and I stayed here from 9/6 to 9/10/17 and we had a wonderful time. The hotel is beautiful, especially the numerous pools and public areas. The hotel staff are very helpful and the food/ drinks were great. The hotel itself is centrally located within walking distance to great restaurants and Aqua World. I will definitely be staying here again. Our room was 409, and it had amazing views of the ocean as well as hotel pool & courtyard.

 Perfect hotel!
I visited this summer with my mom and 2 teenage girls, and this hotel exceeded our expectations. The rooms are a nice size and in great shape, and the bathrooms have plenty of space for families. The pool was beautiful and the view outstanding! The staff was super helpful, and our housekeeper Ethel was the best we have ever had. She left notes for my girls and really seemed to make a special effort. I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for both luxury and affordability. I would stay here again for sure.

 Wonderful weekend getaway in Cancún!
My wife and I spent three nights at the JW Marriott in Cancún as part of a long weekend getaway and had a memorable stay! The grounds were immaculate, and our room, 516, was clean and comfortable with breathtaking views. The pool complex was not too crowded and well-maintained, and the beach was just steps away.During our stay, we enjoyed the breakfast buffet, a lunch at BeachWalk, and a room service dinner following a long day trip to Chichen Itza. All of the meals were delicious.Service was impeccable, and the concierge helped us make dinner plans off-site throughout our stay. Guests also have room charging privileges at the adjacent Marriott hotel next door. When we return to Cancún, we will absolutely stay at JW Marriott!

 Great service and location in Cancun
Our family stayed at the JW Marriott in Cancun for 5 nights, and we loved it! The quality of a JW Marriott never fails - the staff seemed very attuned to when we needed help, and really bent over backwards to provide assistance. From Juan at the front door, who (unasked) offered to reserve a golf cart to take us to the tepanyaki restaurant at the Marriott next door (since my father had knee surgery and has trouble walking quickly), to the restaurant servers, to the concierge, to the maids making up tidy rooms - everyone was always asking us how we were doing and if we needed help. We only ate dinner at the restaurant one night, but we really enjoyed it. The hotel enjoys a fabulous beachfront and during our stay, it wasn't too crowded so we had no problems getting great infinity pool lounge chair seats. We would stay there again, in a heartbeat.

 Excellent service
The hotel is very nice - including a great beach and infinity pool. The beach facilities include showers, restrooms, and plenty of beach chairs and huts. The staff provides excellent friendly service. There are multiple restaurants in the hotel (and the Marriott next door), and it's walking distance to some others like Porfirio's. We found the hotel comfortable and relaxing.

We loved everything about this place, but the adult pool bartender, Rafael Cano, was the best of all! He was so attentive and friendly! You must ask him to make the "coco loco" drink for you. It is delicious and comes in a real coconut! The pool bar was definitely not the same when Rafael had his day off. Thanks Rafael for a memorable trip!!
