Really Nice Stay For a Quick Escape
Headed down with a friend for a quick 7 day all in escape. Went on a Transat package so didn't have to deal with any additional fees for airport, transport etc.The hotel is well maintained, around 500 rooms and the staff are very friendly and efficient. At check in enquired if any were available if it was possible and it would cause no issues if we could get a room with a full balcony vs juliette, as we has been bumped to higher rate instead of super saver rate. It pays to be a polite traveller, as next to us another lady was causing a scene over her Wi-Fi not being included in her package, which is clearly stated when booking. We were given a beautiful room in the centre area with a view over the complete resort, and a full balcony. Hammocks are included on each full balcony and we used ours lots during our stay. The resort has five ala cartes, one large central pool, a large buffet, snack bar with hot food and drinks, main bar and beach bar. We enjoyed the pool, which would have been nicer if a bit bigger but seldom used beach area as it is small and crowded, which we were aware of when we booked. The food was good if not stellar at the buffet, with lots of choices. We did find however by day 5 choices become somewhat repetitive even with the size. We only used one ala carte, as no matter how early we were up to book, we would always find the other four were fully booked though their website said they had to be daily which we found disappointing. The nightly entertainment was good overall, on par with what you see at the smaller resorts but still enjoyable. There was also a market with local vendors in evenings to satisfy urge for souvenirs of you did not feeling like straying off the resort. My friend is a runner and ventured out and about daily and had no issues off resort. For me this trip was about doing absolutely nothing for 7 days except relax, which I did and enjoyed. I normally do not travel all inclusive but was satisfied overall with my stay. The hotel had guests from across spectrum, so was not crazy in the evenings and we got to meet a lot of very nice people on our stay.If you are looking for a relaxing stay, with good food, relatively quiet, are not focused on a beach, easy access to other off resort activities this would be a great choice for your stay for a reasonable price.
