We are frequent customers whenever we come to Cancun. Located in La Isla Shopping Center, this little spot has the best chocolate experience around. We love their fresh brownies, chocolate ice cream, baking cocoa and boxed chocolates to take back home...and their Mayan Hot Cocoa is a treat any evening! Service is always friendly, usually younger staff, similar to a Starbucks MO. Yummo!!

The flavor of coffee!!!
I enjoy a cup of coffee every day, especially Cafe Americano at the Starbucks. When we went to La Isla Shopping Village, we stopped by Ah Cacao Chocolate Cafe and tried to eat something. It was a little humid and hot so I ordered an espresso iced cafe americano. The flavor and taste of coffee was great. It's better than my favorite so I purchased a pack of coffee.

BEST CHOCOLATE EVER!
If you are looking for some seriously good chocolate, from chocolate bars, ice-cream, coffees to cakes, cacao powder....etc. then this is the place to visit. I LOVE the gluten free chocolate mousse and also having chocolate brownie with brownie ice-cream on top is a treat to die for. So to sum it all up....great little café with good prices and chocolate of the highest quality. The best part is that it is a local café and all the products are made right here in Riviera Maya.

This place is amazing. For half the price of US Starbucks you get way better coffee and way better service. For example, the employees are polite, friendly, and they bring your coffee out to you. Staff seems friendly and helpful.The squares are nice and smooth melting and not sweet or bitter (for those who like dark chocolate).The mousse is amazing. Not as light as whipped cream, not as viscous as pudding, but somewhere perfectly in the middle. And the flavor is full on without being too sweet.The brownies are in between fudge and cake. This is where the natural ingredients come through (our daughter has various allergies so I have seen the ingredient list at Starbucks-mostly artificial ingredients). They also have soy and almond milk options. My favorite was the cafe latte frappe. But, I was tempted to get the vanilla because it was really good. The chocolate mousse is great and dairy free. The corn cake is amazing and gluten free. We love the dark and milk chocolate too. We bought some Mexican hot chocolate to bring back home. Every time we come to Cancun this is where we go for at least 3-4 days.

The service is PHENOMENAL. I went to visit with my 2 kids while we were just spending a few hours at the mall. I had never taasted Mayan chocolate, so the clerk was kind enough to give me a sample. He saw me reading all the drins and trying to figure out what I wanted, so he began offering suggestions. I decided I did not like the Mayan chocolate but ordered some other kind of mocha/coffee. It was delicious. The wi-fi at my hotle (Krystal) was really slow, so I sat right in the table in the front of the store for about an hour and had no problem! Great service, great drinks. Can't go wrong!!

This is my favourite shop in Cancún and Playa Del Cármen. The Ah Cacao coffee only provides fresh and quality food. The espresso is served in a real espresso cup and with the best quality grains of the drink. I tried a few types of cakes in here, and oh... They`re very tasty. The chocolates can be compared easily with Lindtt, Godiva and Kopenhagen ones. I was never let down there when I was looking for a great cup of coffee. This is a must try!

This is half cafe half store. There is a small seating area outside where you can people watch and sip your hot chocolate. Inside the store you can take home items and other souvenirs. Worth checking out for a few mins if you are in the La Isla Mall.
