Casa Tequila, Cancun

 Consistently good dining experience!
I've eaten at Casa Tequila many times but have not reviewed it before. The main thing I can say is that it's a consistently good dining experience for authentic Mexican cuisine.One of my favorites, which I had this time, was the Chicken Enchiladas with Mole Poblano...delicious!As an appetizer I enjoyed the complimentary chips and salsas (especially the habanero). And to finish, I enjoyed a couple of large shots of Tres Mujeres Reposado Tequila.Oh, and they have great JUMBO margaritas!

This place just blew my mind. The food was beyond good and the staff complemented the experience with friendliness. I definitely recommend a visit. You will be presently surprised.

 Popped in for lunch
Walking around Cancun we decided to pop in here for lunch and I am glad we did. The food and drinks were delicious and all fairly priced. We were all happy with what we got. I would definitely come back here again!

 Good food, good service
We stopped at Casa Tequila (close to the supermarket in the Hotel zone) for a quick lunch and enjoyed the food tremendously. We were here during the slow time of year (between summer and winter breaks) and our waiter treated us superbly. We started off with chips and salsa and the pumpkin seed salsa was fantastic (look for a good recipe online). I had the tacos dorado (yumm) and my wife had a salad. Both dishes had more food than we could eat so we ended up taking the left overs back to the hotel. All-in-all good food and good value.

Ventured out for a bite to eat. One of our party had googled this restaurant. Good choice to get into the Mexican atmosphere. Outdoor covered eating area. Linen tablecloths, waiters in uniform, friendly and very helpful as we didn't know much about Mexican food. Attentive but not intrusive. Food was good and hearty and reasonably priced.Serenaded by travelling musicians who cam around later for tips. They trolled up and down the adjoining restaurants in the strip.Pleasant night out for our first night in Mexico.

Our family had tortilla soup, chicken fajitas and enchiladas that did not disappoint. The drinks were strong and the atmosphere was pleasant. We sat outside and enjoyed the Mexican band.

The food was great. We started with a guacamole which was sooo delicious. I applauded, then, they brought additional appetizer, grilled queso Oaxaca. Yummy!We enjoyed all the dishes we ordered. Desserts were lip-smacking. Mariachi trio played beautiful music for us. The wait staff, Tania, was super nice. One of the most wonderful experience in Cancun.

 Lovely early evening meal
Stopped off after going for a quick walk. We were the only people in there - it was around 6.00pm. We prefer to eat early in Cancun before it gets too busy. With our son we were a bit worried that most of the dishes didn't come with a lot to accompany them - but needn't have worried as portions were plenty large enough for us.We had main courses of Chimichangas and Burritos served with freshly made guacamole. Everything was fresh and tasty. We didn't need rice, fries, sides and all thoroughly enjoyed the meal.Our waitress was friendly and polite as were the other staff. We will return before we go home and try the starters and desserts. They also have a large drinks selection with loads of Tequilas decent prices. We'd definately recommend.

Have been vacationing in Cancun for a couple decades after buying a time share at The Royal Caribbean. Always looking for new foodie eats and this place was recommended by Trip Advisor. After an appalling experience at Senor Frogs ( review has been submitted ) , we fumed our way to this place hoping to salvage what was supposed to be a fun evening for family and dear friends. Related our "margarita experience" to our sympathetic waiter --Saul. He immediately brought us a "trial" margarita for us to test. An excellent well balanced drink where we could actually taste the tequila. Switching to a more relaxed mode we ordered taking recommendations from Saul. The special beef stew was delicious. Well proportioned and balanced in flavours. The seafood stuffed chicken breast with some kind of a yummy sauce was equally good. Chicken mole was sufficiently complex in flavour to engage a conversation on how to distinguish bad from good mole. The other dishes ordered were equally well prepared. However! The star of the evening was the chicken tortilla lime soup. I make this at home and mine has nowhere near the complexity and citrusy tartness that this had. Just this delicate concoction is worth the visit to this charming restaurant surrounded by the glitzy tackiness that Cancun has sadly descended to from the charming little fishing town that it was was when we first came here. Would certainly recommend this place without any hesitation

 Great Spot in Cancun in Hotel Zone
On our recent trip, we came upon Casa Tequila. I checked Trip Advisor for reviews and it did not disappoint! We all ordered something different and from soups to enchiladas...all was delicious. Very service oriented! They even accommodated a custom request for our daughter! We ate outdoors and there were a couple mosquitos but we sprayed our ankles (they have spray available!!) and all was just fine. Definitely not a problem!! Great spot that you should try if in the area!

My friend and I had lunch at this spot. We walked there from the Riu Cancun resort. It is surrounded by many other resorts , so it should be walking distance . The restaurant is mainly in an open setting, so it was great for "people watching". They have quite a large menu with many Mexican dishes. We had the fajitas, and they were delicious. They also have many different types of alcoholic drinks available. The service was very friendly and we felt very safe. The prices were not expensive , especially for the great quality of food. I will definitely return here again.

 Rare that we go back to the same place
So far 2x for this place and the trip is only 1/2 done! If you don't like the chain restaurants and tourist traps and LOVE food, this is the place for you. Everyone, including the 2 teens have loved everything we have eaten. Great ambience. Lovely staff. Go eat here.

Superb polite and welcoming service. I was there several times and can say that all the service personnel I encountered were very knowledgeable, very engaging, and also had a great sense of humour.Drinks are also carefully prepared and presented. Prices are fair and quality is good and reliable.It is a very picturesque restaurant with an open concept but a subdued tone.

We wandered into Casa Tequila in Cancun by chance last week, dropping in for lunch and cocktails, it was so good we returned on following two days for dinner and cocktails. The waiters Tania and Rogelio were both very professional friendly and had great sense of humour, Rogelio was as you would expect an expert on local craft beers and tequila and made some great recommendations. Their bar staff mixed by far the best cocktails we had while in Cancun. I would highly recommend you pay them a visit when you are in Cancun, you can find them across the road from the new Selecto supermarket in the centre of the hotel zone.

 Great night life destination
We stopped here on our way to coco bongo's. So many different types of tequila to try. We left there with better knowledge of the different types of Tequila.

 Saul is Amazing!
Casa Tequila was so great we went back the 2nd night of our trip. The food was wonderful and the jumbo Margaritas were even better. The best part of our visit was the excellent service. We had Saul as our server both nights and he made the experience. I will definitely be coming back to Casa Tequila on my next visit. Anytime I go to Cancun, Casa Tequila is a must! The food is outstanding, the service is phenominal and the drinks are awesome. You can sit outside in a nice shaded atmoshpere and enjoy the scenary and nice weather. The staff is very accommodating and will make sure you're doing great and enjoying your experience. I've even missed my flight trying to get food from there before but it was worth it!

2nd time here. Tania was our server again and she was great as she was the last time. They still have 19 craft beers in bottles. We had a Barleywine, 2 glasses of wine, fundido, and enchiladas for only $31 USD. It was perfect! We love sitting on the open air patio in the shade and watching the tourists hustle by. Fantastic spot! Can’t wait to come back again. Ask for Tania!

 Fun, great food and relax ambiance
Very nice place to go for tapas, drink something or dine. We had both days tapas and dinner. Great guacamole, very good Mexican pale ales, great burrito and wonderful margaritas. Service was attentive and very relaxed.

 My Favorite in Cancún
This is the most charming and cozy Mexican eatery in the hotel zone. It’s very casual and the food is absolutely delightful. Sitting in the open air while being serenaded by the mariachis completes the magical atmosphere. This was my third trip to Cancún and my fourth visit to the restaurant. Our waiter, Damian, is the best! He remembered us from our previous visits from months ago! Casa Tequila feels like a home away from home.

Just arrived in Cancun and decided to have a early lunch, 4pm. To begin can I thank the staff at this restaurant for an amazing introduction to Mexico. They went out of our way to make our dinning experience more than just food . Yes we did the photos with the Sombreros, yes we tried a huge Margarita, but all along the staff made it fun. They where not chasing tips , but enjoyed our excitement at being in a new country.They could see we where hot , so they moved us under a fan. Also , the food was great. My first Tortilla soup , wow what a start, again thanks from Australia

Saul was a fantastic waiter. He was very charismatic and friendly. This was our first meal out, and the guacamole and tequila was the best we ever had.

We visited here yesterday afternoon for drinks and we went back in the evening for dinner. Our waiter Damien was fantastic and made sure we enjoyed. The Mexican platter for 2 was great with the best chorizo I have ever tasted. Top tip try their hot chille sauce it is mental.

The food, the service, the drinks, the atmosphere... All outstanding. Tania was our very busy, yet very attentive server. She was friendly, efficient and fun. We started with chicken nachos. We were both starving. We had traveled all day and hadn't had anything but airplane snacks for 10 hours. They were delicious. For our entrees we each ordered a burrito. I ordered chicken and my wife ordered Angus beef and we split them. Both were very good. We both ended up taking almost half of our dinners home we were so full. Thank you Tania and Casa Tequila for an outstanding dinner experience.

Even though you know that it is oriented on tourists, casa tequila feels typically Mexican. Decorations in Mexican style, good food, live music and very nice people!

The place is in a good location, close to main attractions in hotel zone. The food is very good and the employees are cordial. There are a good variety of craft beers that I really liked.

We came here for lunch and was served by the extremely helpful and lovely Tania. Food was amazing, best we’ve had since we arrived. Service was impeccable and a really lovely atmosphere. My husband loved the music, he was shimmying throughout. Hubby was even more impressed with the local craft IPA! If you are visiting Cancún then you must come here!!

Stopped in for lunch and had chicken tacos. Real good. Margaritas were good but the beer served in frosted mugs was fantastic. Our server, Rogelio, was very friendly and helpful. Real enjoyable lunch.
