If you're looking for a lifetime memory, this is it. The attention to detail is flawless - rose petals on the table, wonderful intimate lighting floor, table and ceilings. Food is very good as well, but this is first and foremost about enjoying a private netted place right on the beach for dinner.

 Perfect!
Where do I start? The incredible setting? Amazing food? Wonderful service? Everything about the night was just perfect. Almost a year ago now (don't know why I've only just got round to writing a review), and I still can't believe how beautiful it was. Set on the beach, overlooking the ocean - what's not to like? Our waiter was just lovely; very attentive and did everything he could to make the experience memorable!The food was DELICIOUS. Without a doubt, the best steak I have eaten! As we visited for an anniversary, the waiter brought us some complimentary truffles with a message written on the plate, for desert. (I do appreciate small touches like this!) We were so full, we were lying (almost asleep) on the bed that was made up for us on the beach, outside our casita, when he brought them out; it was the perfect end to a meal I will remember forever. For the rest of the night they left us to relax and look at the stars - as cheesy as it is, you can't help it because it's such a lush setting! This is what I appreciated most; a lot of restaurants rush you, which is something they did not do here at the casitas- they really valued you as a guest and wanted to do anything they could do to make your time special.Yes, it's rather expensive, but let's face it, it's not something you would do on a daily basis? But for a special occasion, it's perfect and couldn't recommend the place enough. Thank you to everyone at the Casitas again for a night I will remember forever :)

RC quality dining experience...excellent service and food. Fresh fish, interesting preparations, delicious salads and appetizers, excellent cocktails. Wine menu - very dull. The setting on the edge of the beach is exquisite- a real pleasure. Very romantic dining indeed! Service was outstanding! High end beach experience and worth venturing over to the RC.

This is a very special experience to be shared with someone very special. Private dining on exquisite food in a private casita just feet from the sea. The lighting, the sound of the surf, the highest level of personal service with one server dedicated to making your dining experience as memorable as possible. Our server was Enrique and he is a master of his profession. A genuine desire to accommodate our culinary desires with the utmost discretion. The food was the best on our vacation. The poblano pepper cream soup with huitlacoche was inspirational! The Casita dining experience is to be savored. Not something to do when one is in a hurry, or, even worse, with someone whose company you do not thoroughly enjoy. Remember that the Casita is yours for the evening and you can spend anywhere from two to four hours there sans music, tv, and, except for taking photos, your smart phone. Indulge yourself in an evening unlike any other. Buen provecho!

I planned this night for my girlfriends 25th birthday. It was truly amazing. The service, the food, the view. Everything amazing. We had such an amazing time and were treated so well. Truly enjoyed the night and the view. The people who work here are lovely and recommend this place to anyone!

 Best dinner in Cancun
We visited the Ritz-Carlton for dinner in the Casitas last week in a private casita. The experience was amazing from start to end. We did not stay at this hotel, but I read previous reviews and wanted to get off mt resort for a different atmosphere and have a romantic dinner with my boyfriend on the beach. We were greeted with a smile and helpful staff the moment we entered the hotel and he lead us down to the casitas. Our waiter, Moises, was the absolute best. He was sweet, funny, and did everything he could to make sure we had a great, romantic time. He took pictures for us, made sure we were comfortable and gave us time to just be alone. The food was also great. We drank just beer and wine, but I heard the drinks were also tasty. We started with the lobster ceviche and bread, and both were delicious. I had the lobster and shells and my boyfriend had the shrimp and scallops. We even got to see baby sea turtles trying to make their way to the beach during dinner! After dinner, Moises pulled the padded, reclining beach chair to the beach and we relaxed with some wine for 30 minutes after our dinner. Afterwards, Moises guided us back up to the front - after taking one more picture for us and very sweet and friendly the entire time. Food- amazing, Atmosphere- amazing, Moises- amazing! I will go back every time I visit Cancun!

Well worth the price for the experience. Celebrated my wife's birthday dinner here and it was truly an amazing dinner. The service, food, view, and weather were all perfect. They even had a guy come play happy birthday on the saxophone for her when they brought out dessert.

We booked a table at Casitas for our 25th wedding anniversary. The table set up was beautiful. Even though there are people eating nearby, it was very private and romantic. The service was outstanding. Our waiter anticipated every need. The food was delicious, and the evening ended with a beautiful plate of chocolates to celebrate our anniversary.

 The best honeymoon/birthday experience!
I did my research on this experience so I knew it was something that my new husband and I would absolutely enjoy! From relaxing at our hotel few doors down all day, heading up for a nap then getting dressed in all white for dinner. We normally wouldn't do such a fancy place that's why it was so special! We walked over for dinner and since we thought it would take longer then 5 minutes to walk we arrived 45 minutes before our reservation. So we walked around and took some pictures and just took it all in. I decided to head over towards the hostess and do a checkin and maybe sit by the upper bar but she asked if we wanted to be seated...sure! We were greeted quickly and we told our staff that we would sit, have a drink and enjoy the view before before the menu was brought out. They didn't feel rushed, we didn't feel rushed and they focused on the "high class people that felt they deserved more attention" lol. So, once we had two cocktails we decided it was our actual reservation time so let's see the menu. The Bread was warm, Caesar salad was fresh and crisp and we received a avocado cucumber gazpacho that was tasty. We both had ribeye but added lobster and he added shrimp. Steak was at temp and seafood was done perfectly. We also ordered the rice side and the mash potatoes. Both of the sides were delicious but we focused on our steaks.Towards the end We received dessert with a special message for my husbands birthday that he really appreciated. All in all it was a perfect dinner experience for my husband and myself. We could not have asked for more!Ambiance-10/10 the sand was clean, no clutter, the table lit up so it was perfect lighting once the sun set. The staff all around was amazing. Very accommodating. Food was perfection from start to finish.It was such a beautiful night that we walked along the beach back to our resort. Thank you all sooooo much!!!!

The kids all enjoyed feeling like honored guests. That is how you are treated at this restaurant. This latest time was no exception although it was just the two of us. Moises was our server and was entertaining, intelligent, well spoken, happy and very attentive. He told the greatest stories! The beach was beautiful, the food was delightful and the service was absolutely impeccable. The steaks were really delicious and grilled perfectly. The Tres Leches cake was the BEST we have ever had. We travel fairly extensively… and we have been hard-pressed to find better service than we get at the Ritz Carlton in Cancun. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

This night was one of the most special ones we spent on our trip to Cancun, Mexico. It was very romantic and where I proposed to my finacee. Very good value for the price you pay, will certainly go back to dine there.

We were in Cancun as two couples meeting from different parts of the US. As we were both celebrating 60th birthdays a few weeks apart, our wives surprised us with a beach-front, beautiful dining experience in one of the "Casitas" Dining Huts, on the sand at the Ritz-Carlton Cancun! It was an exceptional as well as memorable dining experience! The menu was extensive and varied, the service impeccable, and the food outstanding! The ombiance of being on the sand at sunset was unparalleled and I couldn't of thought of a better way for our wives to help us celebrate these special days!

We have eaten here a couple of times to celebrate a birthday and anniversary. The food is delicious (I recommend the oven bread, the filet and the cheddar mashed potatoes). They staff is so gracious and attentive and the views are breath taking. Splurge and enjoy this restaurant. Make reservations ahead of time too.

I took my husband here for his birthday and it was an AMAZING experience. Eating beneath a canopy on the beach under the moonlight was truly breathtaking. Our waiter was friendly and attentive, the staff kind and attentive as well. The food was really, really good and filling. It is pricey, but well worth it for a special occassion.

Our waiters Luis Filipi and Bruno were outstanding. The wine they suggested was outstanding and the "Irish Coffee with Cognac instead of Irish Whiskey" was outstanding. Our Ribeye was the best in other words everything was perfect for my continuing birthday celebration.

Yes, this is a little pricey, but the overall experience was well worth it! The cabana was lovely, the food delicious, and the service was impeccable. Moises was our main server and he took the time to take lots of pictures of my family in addition to thoroughly explaining any of the menu items for which we had questions. There was such a beautiful breeze that it wasn't the least bit uncomfortable. We ordered a birthday cake in advance and that was also delicious as well.

Best ceviche ever. I special ordered with out tomatoes and extra avocado. Ate there for lunch 10 days straight. Service amazing.

I booked a private Casita at The Ritz Carlton & surprised my girlfriend with a wedding proposal which she said yes! The location, atmosphere, food & service were breath taking! I met up with Edgar, the Casita restaurant manager, earlier in the afternoon & he planned the evening & made everything come to life! He could not do enough for us & made the experience unforgettable! I can't recommend highly enough the romantic experience in the private Casitas! An amazing evening me or my future wife will never forget! Thank you Edgar & the Casitas team!..

 Ritz Carlton outdid themselves
It was a birthday celebration for my husband. I had booked a casita on the beach and it was beautiful. Great food and waiters. Ambience was great as well!

 Good food in a romantic setting but pricey
If you want to sit in a cabana overlooking the ocean with soft breezes swaying, this restaurant at the Ritz Carlton is for you. Quiet (no music just ocean waves) and private, but very pricey.

 20 Year anniversary dinner
Food was wonderful along with the incredible service. The only complaint I would have- and they can't really control was how hot it was inside the casita. Ceiling fans, or any kind of fan on that night would have made all difference. The humidity that evening made it incredible hot inside the casita with no airflow- therefor I really didn't want to eat much.

 Go-to restaurant at the Ritz-Carlton, Cancún
Easy-going restaurant and friendly service. Menu is simple but can satisfy any kind of taste and appetite. Excellent option if you're staying at the Ritz and you want to eat well. Casitas does not have all the bells and whistles of Club Grill and Fantino (two other in-house restaurants at the Ritz) but this is probably what makes it so inviting and pleasant.

As I knew my partner would be having her birthday whilst we was away in Cancun I decided to book a private Casitas for a memorable birthday dinner and boy we wasn't let down,Firstly If it is a special occasion and you wan't something special done email them and they will have everything in place for the day, I emailed prior our visit asking for a bottle of champagne to be on ice along with a happy birthday desert and rose which all was forfilled, This place is located on the beach in order to get to it you have to go through the Ritz Carlton hotel which was easy enough, Your then shown to your private Casitas all of which are located on the beautiful beach, Our waiter for the evening was Jose and May I say he was one of the best we've ever had a real star . Our champagne was poured then Jose asked for a phone so he could take some pictures of us which was a very nice thought, Always good to look back over such lovely times, Photo's done he then explained to us that they have a lovely seafood platter which is shared for a starter, As me and my partner aren't the biggest seafood lover's we opted to just look at the other starters at the menu, This was no problem at all for Jose whom brought the menu's out along with a little torch so we could see properly, We ordered the Kettle chips with guacamole, The stone oven bread and some rib eye taco's all incredibly tasty my partner said the bread was some of the best she's ever had and believe me if she say's that then it was good! Onto the mains The birthday girl had the rib eye medium I had the fillet medium rare, they don't have normal french fries on the menu only sweet potato ones but if you ask they can do you some french fries, We ordered two but Jose said one portion is big enough to share again another reason why we rated him so highly, We also got some Mushroom's with spring onions, The steaks are served on a skillet both of us really enjoyed the mains, Steaks we're cooked to our liking, I wont say it was the best steak I've ever had but it certainly was the best surroundings I've enjoyed a steak in, Still was incredibly tasty. After dinner we was stuffed, Our Casitas was opened up and we looked onto the ocean sipping on our drinks really enjoying the evening. Jose brought out a little desert for my partner which had Happy Birthday decorated on it and he sung happy birthday along with another waiter too her along with a red rose, We was far too stuffed for desert so can't comment on that, In total the bill came in around 6100 peso's this included the hire of the Casitas, The Champagne and other extra's along with 2 beer's and a white wine which for me seemed very reasonable and trust me for the experience you have it's well worth the money. Would certainly recommend for a special dinner, Makes such a nice change to a normal restaurant.

 Go-to restaurant at the Ritz-Carlton, Cancún
Easy-going restaurant and friendly service. Menu is simple but can satisfy any kind of taste and appetite. Excellent option if you're staying at the Ritz and you want to eat well. Casitas does not have all the bells and whistles of Club Grill and Fantino (two other in-house restaurants at the Ritz) but this is probably what makes it so inviting and pleasant.

 Last Dinner
My husband and I stayed at the Ritz and saw that this was a cool dinner option. You are able rent out the Cabana and have your own private dinner on the beach. while the mood and service were great, the food was OK. compared to other restaurants at the hotel and around the hotel, it wasn't our favorite meal. it was also the most expensive meal because you had to pay extra to rent the cabana.

Casitas is a restaurant just as it sounds… a private Casita on the beach!When you arrive you are walked down a wooden boardwalk to your own private Oasis.You are literally on the beach shielded from wind and rain by white flowing drape.A single table with a rose that is illuminated from below adds an interesting and whimsical touch.As you listen to the waves and watch the sun set you are able to select from a wonderful menu. Fresh fish, Mexican classics, Steaks, and more. We started with the Tomato and Avocado Salad- the avocados are so much better in Mexico! For our entrees, we ordered the Jumbo shrimps & scallops with avocado, ajillo sauce and the 14 oz Ribeye. The sides are great for sharing so we tried the Cheddar mashed potatoes and the Mushrooms and spring onions, ranch dressing. For dessert we finished with the chocolate brownie ala mode.The atmosphere is so calming; the waves, the lighting.. the food… I almost fell asleep at the table.The service was top notch. Edgar and Jamie took excellent care of us, anticipating our every need. While the setting IS romantic, you don’t have to be a couple to enjoy it.I would highly recommend Casitas, especially if it is a special occasion. The experience is wonderfulSome suggestions-Make reservation as close to sunset as possible. While Casitas is not on the “sunset” side per se.. it is still beautiful to watch as it get darker on the ocean.Take a wrap (sweater or jacket) as if can get chilly at night.

Very special occasion restaurant with private tables on the beach. You can't see anyone else but you're right on the beautiful Cancun beach with the sounds of the waves. There is an up-charge of $100 or so for the set-up, so you need to be an ambiance junkie to make it worth your while. Perfect for honeymooners.

My husband and I came here for dinner. Food was amazing, service was amazing and the setting was amazing. 140$ set up fee is a bit steep I think and made the end bill very pricey. But a must do once in a lifetime.

 Good food in a romantic setting but pricey
If you want to sit in a cabana overlooking the ocean with soft breezes swaying, this restaurant at the Ritz Carlton is for you. Quiet (no music just ocean waves) and private, but very pricey.

 20 Year anniversary dinner
Food was wonderful along with the incredible service. The only complaint I would have- and they can't really control was how hot it was inside the casita. Ceiling fans, or any kind of fan on that night would have made all difference. The humidity that evening made it incredible hot inside the casita with no airflow- therefor I really didn't want to eat much.

I spent months researching the perfect place for my anniversary to surprise my wife. I was looking forward to the Casitas menu and the private beach front dining. When I arrived on the 4th of July they informed me they had a special pre-set BBQ menu. Are you kidding me...? No call to tell me this ahead of time- no note at the time of booking? No mention of this even when we checked in? Just surprise- BBQ- I went to the Ritz for quality cuisine not BBQ. I just had a BBQ before I left for cancun at home. I asked if I could order off the normal menu. I was told that I could not. I had already ordered drinks so I felt i could not leave. My fault- at that point I should have left but I was trying to make the best of it. After the waiter left I did not see him very often. So the service and personal attention to our needs was lacking. They eventually brought us our food but guess what? They left off the ribs. I did not see our waiter until well after we finished our meal and the I informed him they forgot my BBQ ribs. He apologized. 30 minutes later he brought us our ribs. Keep in mind our plates had been cleared by the bus boy so clearly the waiter did not communicate with the bus boy. Also- just so you know the BBQ food - it was just normal ordinary BBQ food nothing special- they BBQ a filet and lobster and it cold and the lobster rubbery. Anyhow- I did not know what to even say....I was so disappointed and I regretted spending over 300 US dollars my entire trip. I had so many good meals in cancun and in playa that week it was replaying in my mind like a bad movie. I really do not like to complain- read all my reviews and this is my first. Also- once the service and mishaps starting occurring I looked more closely at my surroundings and noticed the white sheets they used to cover the cabanas were all stained with food splatters. Not just one- many. Looked like dirty sheets and it was gross once we noticed this. Even stains on the sheets above us had stains. I honestly cannot believe this is the only poor review here. for the price there should not have been these mishaps.
