 Great Presentation - Small Portions
Da Vinci (dress code) was very good but portions were small. We ate here 3 times. The appetizers salads, and main courses were very good. Steak was excellent but small. Chicken was good as well. For dessert, the chocolate piano was rich and excellent.

The food was amazing and the service was fantastic. Enrique was our server and he was awesome!, we did visit that restaurant twice when we were there. You need to make reservations

It is a must if you stay in omni hotel. It is a king of romantic mood reataurant. Fine dishes, excellent service. You may dress appropriately, not wearing shorts, sandals. It has a dressing code.

I ordered Cappelli Carbonara and my husband got "Steak Heart" (Filet mignon). Best meal we had at the hotel.

 The best food and service on our vacation
We are a family of 7 made a reservation for 8:30 at Da vinci restaurant. Reserving dinner was not easy because it is the most popular one and the restaurant only open few days a week. I read positive reviews beforehand and was happy to say it totally meet the high expectation. Not only the food was good, our server Enrique was the best. He is funny and extremely professional. He made us feel so comfortable. He made my parents laugh and the whole dinner experience even better. My favorite dishes will be calamaris, mona Lisa salad, herb cream soup and the pasta. The ice-cream sorbet dessert is soo good. I wish im staying longer given this 5 star food and service. I totally recommend this restaurant!

We had a reservation at 8.30pm, me & my wifey were seated immediately, the staff were very friendly, our waiter Eduardo was very professional, been a server for more than 10 years, i can tell that he was very elegant. I really liked the way how he was treating eldery peaple table's next to us. Well done eduardo. Food was tasty and well presented.I ll difenetly come back again,

 Excellent restaurant
Da Vinci's was by far the best restaurant if staying at the Omni All Inclusive Hotel. Reservations are a must and be aware of the no shorts and no sandals dress code. The lasagna and the salads were delicious. Wine bottles can be purchased but red and white wine from Spain were complimentary. The desserts were probably the best due to the artistic presentation. The servers were fantastic and as was the decor. We dined here twice.

We love this place..have stayed at ommi many times and always look forward to dinner here. Be prepared to settle back and enjoy every moment..dining like it should be.top service delicious food carefully prepared by excellent chefs..try to save room for dessert..the pastry chef works very hard on these extrodinary pieces of edible materpieces!

I wore a nice dress up shirt but it did not have a collar so I had to go back and change but it was worth it.

 Numero Uno!!!
This is the premium restaurant within the Omni Resort Cancun as part of their all inclusive program. Very hard to get a reservation if one is not an "owner" of a timeshare but we were able to eat here one night out of the 5 nights we stayed.The ambiance was very nice and the service was incredible!! Although I did not care for my scallops, everyone else at my table really enjoyed their meal.The meal was capped off with some great deserts!Nice evening!

 Always a Hit, Never a Miss
Whenever we visit Omni, Cancun we make sure to eat here as often as possible. We have never had a bad meal here and the service is great. The Osobuco melts in your mouth and the desserts are delicious. In recent years they have eliminated the piano music and no longer prepare the Caesar salad at your table. That takes away from the ambiance but the food is wonderful.

 All Inclusive, including Great Taste!
This was a great and stylish restaurant, included into the all-inclusive package with the Omni Cancun resort. To be honest, I did not expect the level of service and quality of food to be as high, for the "all-inclusive" reason. Excellent menu, very well decorated, comfortable, and the wait staff were great, polite, and with high class restaurant professionalism. Please respect the dress code, and do not get offended if you are politely but firmly turned around at the door, for wearing shorts and t-shirt. Gentlemen, pack a pair of summer closed-toe/heel shoes, and some linen slacks or such (not jeans), so you are still resort-comfortable, but classy-dressed for a fine dining experience. We enjoyed our evening at Da Vinci. Great Italian, quite authentic flavors, in a Cancun resort.

Wonderful restaurant with great ambiance. My friend and I were totally impressed by the offerings and the quality of the food. I'd definitely recommend the herb soup (surprisingly delicious--one of the favorite things we tasted during the entire trip) as well as the fettuccine chipotle (if you like spicy food). The desserts were also AMAZING! Definitely recommend the tiramisu and chocolate piano.

We ate at Da Vinci three times while we stayed at the Omni and each time it was better than the last! Enrique was our waiter and always made us feel like a million bucks! He made us an awesome Paloma the first night we went and the next two times we ate there he always had our Paloma's ready when we came to greet us. Best waiter ever! My favorite dishes was the shrimp in lemon sauce, chicken parm, and tiramisu! I never got tired of eating there, there is always something new to try :) Great memories at Da Vinci!

Dined at da Vinci twice in one week it was that good. Happened to be valentines and we were given beautiful roses by the staff. The food was exceptional. We also got free entrees as a little treat. The caprese salad was a stand out favourite as were all of the desserts! Yum. Highly recommended!

I cannot say enough good things about da Vinci. From Head Waiter Fernando to Enrique, Juan Carlos and Eduardo are great and that does not begin to describe the food.

Dine 4 nights at davichis,the food was always great,and the waiter,Luis Enrique caché caama.yes thats his whole mayan name,was the best and friendliest waiter, I've ever had the pleasure of meeting.i would recomendamos this restaurant even if your not staying at the omni.

 Fabulous Italian Food
We visited Da Vinci at the Omni Hotel & Villas three times on our nine night stay and were impressed every single time! Make sure to make reservations ahead of time, and check the dress code beforehand. Our favorites were the shrimp in lime sauce pasta, the bourbon style steak, the Tuscan style scallops, and the dark chocolate warm fondant.

 Best Italian Food I've ever had
Brilliant! The service was amazing, the food was delicious, the desserts were exquisite (almost too pretty to eat, almost!), and I wanted to go back every day. I had the Scallop dish and it was perfection.

 Unbelievable spectacular in every way!
What can you say when all diners around you say that they've returned to this restaurant again and again over the years. Every waiter smiled genuinely and seemed to enjoy what they were doing. Service was top notch…food spectacular!

I always get the Oso Bucco and the Chocolate Piano...YUMMY! Dress code here...... Men, nice slacks and a shirt with a collar. NO SANDALS OR TENNIS SHOES TOO!!!

 So good we went three times
As vacation club members at the Omni, we were able to make three reservations at the fine dining restaurants during our 7 day all-inclusive stay. We made 2 reservations at Da Vinci, and after our second evening, we changed our other reservation to a third. Our first experience was very good, the dinner was lovely but the server had little personality, and did not make any suggestions regarding the menu. In addition, a diner next to us apparently has no idea what formal attire is (it is stated on the reservation, and noted everywhere: long pants for men) and this guy was wearing Adidas sweat pants and sneakers. Yes he followed the letter of the requirement, but definitely not the spirit. The menu is extensive and you can choose an appetizer, salad, soup, pasta dish, and main course, then dessert. I had the beef carpaccio and it was yummy, but was not served with any toast so I used the bread basket. The salads were excellent, and our pasta dishes were as well.The second dinner was simply amazing. Our waiter was Alfredo. He was outstanding. When we ordered another pasta dish, he asked us to then order a main course. We both commented that it sounded like too much food, and he suggested we have a half portion of pasta with the main course ~ great idea, but never mentioned on our first visit. We both had the steak and it was cooked to perfection as was the pasta. I had the beef carpaccio app again, and this time it was served with shaved parmesan cheese and toast points... excellent. When my friend ordered bottle of Malbec, Alfredo suggested a different bottle which he said was better, but he was not up-selling her, it was actually less expensive and very good. For dessert we had the artist's palette, which is a sugar cookie shaped like a palette, served with 3 little scoops of ice cream and a white chocolate "picture" of Mona Lisa. A treat for the eyes and the tongue. We were so pleased with this dining experience, we changed our last reservation so that we could return to Da Vinci and Alfredo.On our third visit, we were served by Enrique who was just as wonderful as Alfredo. Again making suggestions with the menu, always smiling, and conversational. I cannot say enough about the experiences with the food, decor, music, and service at Da Vinci.

 Best Spaghetti Carbonara I've ever had
We just celebrated our 20th anniversary at DaVinci. Enrique is a fabulous waiter. We ordered the spaghetti carbonara, and he suggested we add grilled shrimp. We had tiramisu for dessert. It was just delicious.

We ate here as it was included in our hotel stay. The food was absolutely amazing! Four courses - appetizer, soup, main course, and dessert. House wine included. Had the bruschetta - yum! Then had the soup which was infused with lavender - yummy yum! (The bean soup was also a favorite among our group). Main course was the steak with provolone sauce - superb! (High ratings on the parmesan crusted chicken, the lasagna, and the shrimp scampi). Dessert was a chocolate piano - chocolate cake in the shape of a piano embellished with a chocolate keyboard (the chocolate cappacino cup was a hit also). An absolute must dinner experience.

 Best meal in Cancun
Recently my wife and I ate at the Da Vinci in the Omni Cancun. The meal was excellent I had the fleet minion and my wife had the same, only with shrimp. It was the best meal I had in Cancun, which we been going to since 1999. The staff there were great and very attentive. Ask for Enrique as your waiter and you will be treated like royalty!

My wife and I recently stayed at the Omni Resort and during our stay we visited the Da Vinci restaurant on several occasions. Due to popular demand you do need to book in advance, even if it's a couple of hours prior. Please bare in mind that the dress code is smart casual so no flip flops or shorts. Saying that we had no trouble in booking a table which are always on the hour.Upon our arrival we were greeted by the staff who were perlite and most welcoming. The restaurant is tastefully decorated to the style of cuisine. Once shown the menu live yet subtle music could be heard in the background which was the accordion player. Bread and olives were brought to the table. After perusing the menu I had the calamari to start, followed by the fillet of steak for main and then creme brûlée for desert. Each course was presented beautifully, tasted fantastic especially the steak which was cooked as requested and to perfection. All in all this is a gourmet restaurant worth visiting.

We ate at Da Vinci's 3 dinners out of 7 nights and totally enjoyable. Food was very good, interesting, and nice presentation. Service was very good 2 of the 3 nights. The first night was a little slow and our waiter forgot our coffee after dinner. The dress code seemed a little strict. I think nice dress shorts and sandals on men should be permitted. Women could wear about anything. Good, enjoy and don't forget dessert!

 Awesome Italian in Mexico!
This was an amazing night the decor and atmosphere was amazing. Dinner was excellent and service was just right. I had the spaghetti with meat sauce and I couldn't have enough of it! Their wine list could use some updating but still good.

This was an amazing night the decor and atmosphere was amazing. Dinner was excellent and service was just right. I had the spaghetti with meat sauce and I couldn't have enough of it! Their wine list could use some updating but still good.

the food was good, not at all remarkable. kind of bland, but im from the pacific northwest and my wife is from new orleans, so we may be more biased on that end of the meal. the filet mignon wasnt very tender and had little flavor. the thing with mexico, though, is that most of their meat is fresh and more natural. certainly, the filet there is far healthier than your average bistro in the states. so i do take that into consideration. the lasagna was good but i would recommend [oddly enough] the spaghetti over it. the meat on-the-bone meal was pretty awesome. very tender. lobster cannelloni was quite good. apps wise, we all tried different ones and loved them all. so, though the menu is small and there isnt a lot of flavor to the meals, it was still very enjoyable. the atmosphere was amazing. we went twice and both nights the atmosphere was dynamite. the service was impeccable. very friendly, thorough. i can recommend da vinci for that reason alone. other notes: they are only open at night, and make reservations as soon as you check in. the reservations fill up pretty quickly.end notes: the food, we give it three and a half out of five. everything else is five stars all the way. it is an awesome place for a hotel restaurant. check it out if you get the chance.

My husband and I booked this restaurant one evening while we stayed in Cancun. We were underwhelmed. The food was okay, but the portions were so small that you need to order many items. Think tapas. It was similar. The restaurant decor was great, the service was perfect. We tried to book for an 8pm dinner time the day before, but was told that there was no openings at 8pm, we needed to choose 7 or 9pm. We took the 7pm, and were still there at 8pm. The restaurant was almost empty, so why were 8pm reservations rejected? Doesn't make sense. My husband and I ordered the steak "filet" entree and by US standards, it was more like a sirloin steak. It was not a filet like we know. I would recommend ordering at least one item from each of the courses on the menu if you go. The other negative is that my husband ordered the salmon appetizer, which is raw. He ended up getting a touch of food poisoning that night, and was sick the next day. I would stay away from the raw foods.

Just finished visiting Omni this week July 10-July 14 Frustrated at the fact that I had tried to reserve for DaVinci the day before and the reservationist was closed. My boyfriend and I are out on excursions that end up taking up the whole day. We returned to the hotel at 7:00 from Xplor and tried to make reservations multiple of times but got rejected by the rude lady who said that there was no availability at all and just brushed me away. I WAS told that I could make reservations the same day and it would not be a problem. I woke up early the next day and was at the reservation counter at 9:00 am which is apparently the only time they can take reservations. I asked for a reservation the same day and was again rudely brushed away and said they were completely booked!!! EXTREMELY difficult to make reservations!!!! also when trying to eat outside...some of the waiters are picky on who gets to sit. I was dry from the pool! and had a bathing suit cover up "or a dress". THEY said my boyfriend and i were not allowed to sit or eat. OTHER individuals were soaking wet and had more exposed bathing suit cover ups than me. Apparently, i was not dressed appropriately but the other women who were just in towels and soaking wet were able to eat.....not sure why....... there was a couple right next to us with a woman with just a bathing suit top and a towel as a skirt...but they were able to eat.

First thing I'd like to say, food is pretty nice, the shrimp was alright, the filet mignon was cooked nicely enough. Nothing extraordinary, nothing bad, perhaps a little above average. One desert (dont get the artists palet) was sub par, but the other ones were nice enough. However, the overwhelming feeling i get is that they are trying to make a decent restaurant with great decorations seem fancier than it is. The dress code is very strict, when in reality they do not even notice when you wear things like sneakers, etc.You must reserve seating, even though the restaurant was definitely not full.But those things didn't really matter, however, every dish takes much to long to prepare. This is not even 20-25 minutes, every dish came almost 35 minutes after we ordered it. I would understand this if they were making something extremely difficult, but one appetizer? a few simple deserts? i know that the "artist pallet" (extremely hard "cookie" with small scoops of ice cream of different colors) that my sister ordered did not require 30 minutes to prepare. Personally the creme brulee was the first one ive had arrive cold (arrived at the same time my sister's desert did). Unless they are in the habit of burning 2-3 steaks, 40 minutes for a filet mignon is just too long to be plausible for one steak. Overall, the ridiculous wait killed the initial appreciation for the decor which was very nice, and the food. Other restaurants at the omni have food just as good but without the wait. (some of the dishes are identical in fact) I would go here once for something "special", but i wouldnt frequent it.
