I’d heard great things about this restaurante, and was pleased to find out they were all true. The ambience is fun, good music, very attentive service, the decor is nice, very good location. Great selection of drinks and good food. What’s not to like?

Only open for a weak the groups' leadership need to be congratulated for the recluting, training and happy working enviroment that they have created. Hope they mantain the level of service and atention they are providing in this honeymoon.About the food. The filet en trapo "rag covered filet" is a 6/7 oz filet, seasoned with grain salt, pepper and cajun type seasonings, wrapped on cheese cloth abd then burried directly in the open fire (mesquite wood fire). The flavors are great, lucky us we like it medium rare, the steak while ordered medium was below MR is hard to gage the temperatue when the chef cannot see or touch the product, it must be gage by time on the fire and i think this will take a while to master by the grill chefs.The crunchy octopus was fantastic. The toasted corn tortillas on the open fire are fantastic and a nice change from the typical oily chips. The salsa was made table side and it was wonderful.Eduardo our server was extremely atentive and knwoledable. The frozen lemon pie was outstanding on flavor, however dificult to enjoyed because it was rock hard, the merengue was perfectly done the lime peel too big.Over all a great experience the manager we spoke (sorry forgot name) he came from Porfirios sister restaurant, very impressed with his atention and passion.

The frozen lemon pie was outstanding on flavor, however dificult to enjoyed because it was rock hard, the merengue was perfectly done the lime peel too big.Over all a great experience the manager we spoke (sorry forgot name) he came from Porfirios sister restaurant, very impressed with his atention and passion.

La Vicenta the new concept from the Anderson Group is a great place for casual dinning. Only open for a weak the groups' leadership need to be congratulated for the recluting, training and happy working enviroment that they have created. Hope they mantain the level of service and atention they are providing in this honeymoon.About the food. The filet en trapo "rag covered filet" is a 6/7 oz filet, seasoned with grain salt, pepper and cajun type seasonings, wrapped on cheese cloth abd then burried directly in the open fire (mesquite wood fire). The flavors are great, lucky us we like it medium rare, the steak while ordered medium was below MR is hard to gage the temperatue when the chef cannot see or touch the product, it must be gage by time on the fire and i think this will take a while to master by the grill chefs.The crunchy octopus was fantastic. The toasted corn tortillas on the open fire are fantastic and a nice change from the typical oily chips. The salsa was made table side and it was wonderful.Eduardo our server was extremely atentive and knwoledable. It was just me and my wife. Even though they serve it on a hot iron plate, the vegetables were cold as well. And my wife committed the horrible mistake of ordering it well done (her fault) and it was just way to salty and dry. She says she would never return, I would give them a second chance. The place just opened up after all, and it's great to have these kind of good looking restaurants in Cancún.
