Elmer was the best server on site. My husband and I enjoyed his service so much that we cancelled a reservation in order to return to LaVista for a second time and enjoy another evening of service from Elmer. Elmer was delightful and paid attention to detail. Wish we had stumbled on LaVista earlier in our visit.

This restaurant, located in the Omni, Cancun hotel was a steakhouse but is now a Thai restaurant. There is no longer an extra charge here for those on all inclusive unless you order lobster. The menu is varied and the food delicious.. The salad bar contains various cheeses including higher end like Brie and blue. You can also find an array of olives, artichoke hearts, shrimp and much more. The food presentation was impressive. The service is great and there is just enough ambiance. On one occasion an entertainer named James McLean appeared and sang a medley of songs. It was a great performance and he was definitely an asset to the Omni.

La Vista offers 180 degree view of the lagoon, Facing West, so you will enjoy amazing sunsets while dining at this restaurant.The restaurant is across the Lobby of the Omni Hotel, and is not part of the All Inclusive experience. It is worth dining here during your stay.We chose the restaurant to dine for our family Christmas Dinner, and we were served all the traditional Christmas meal items, Turkey, Stuffing, Potatoes, and to die for dessert.

We were very fortunate to experience an evening of fine dining at La Vista at the Omni Hotel & Villas in Cancun. This new restaurant is not only beautiful but it offers and serves the most delicious food. We were seated by the spacious windows with a sunset view and were served with excellence the entire evening. Our families' entrees included a wide variety; from the ribeye steak to the prime rib to the shrimp the food was excellent! Our individual server, Luis Burgos, along with his helpers made the evening one that we will always remember. He was extremely knowledgeable, efficient and most of all very kind and helpful. The restaurant is managed to 5 star quality under the direction of Jorge Campos. This is a restaurant that I would recommend to everyone! Be prepared to enjoy an evening of fine food, drinks and the colors of tropical perfection. *La Vista is also open for breakfast buffets where we also enjoyed delicious and healthy food!

The salad bar was spectacular with really tasty options beyond typical salad items: ripe figs, shrimp salad, brie and other cheeses, roasted peppers among other things. Recommend samosas, salmon and coconut pie. Short ribs should be skipped.

The salad bar was a great help with the minimal wait time for entrees. I ordered the beef ribs but they had too much gristle so the chicken came out within minutes and was great

On our second Nite of our visit at the Omni we ate here & it was FANTASTIC! We had a great beef filet and ribeye steak, they allowed us to bring in our own bottle of our favorite champagne & the served it to us packed in ice table side . The vista is a great addition to the Omni's many restaurants.. And what a beautiful view of the lagoon for a romantic meal.. We have stayed at the Omni 13 one week visits and have never grown tired of this beautiful hotel ! p.s breakfast here is also a great way to start your CanCun day!!!

La Vista is on the OMNI property, but is not included in the "all inclusive package". Don't let that scare you - the price was $35/person and quite a bargain. It was one of the best meals served by a wonderful group of waiters including Luis, Roberto, Juan and management. The shrimp appetizers were amazing, as was the steak, porkchop, specialty drinks, etc. The soup was delicious and served in the most amazing soup bowl! The value was much greater than the price. We went the first night and again two nights later to cap off our excursion. Truly not just a meal, but a dining experience. FANTASTIC all around.

Three best friends traveled to Cancun for a relaxing and wonderful experience. We found it at the Omni and La Vista! The service was OUTSTANDING! The food was EXCEPTIONAL! Steaks were cooked to order and everything was beautiful on the plate! We were pampered and made to feel so special! I cannot say enough good things about this place! Full throttle FIVE STARS! And on top of it all - so affordable! Luis and the whole crew ROCK!!!

 Absolutely Fabulous Dining Experience
I recently stayed at the Omni Cancun (an all inclusive resort) with two dear friends, celebrating our 50th birthdays. This restaurant had a surcharge of $35. per person. We decided to splurge and treat ourselves to the additional $35 per person and we were all so glad that we did. The restaurant was beautiful, down to the finest details - even the soup bowls!!!! The service was perfect. They were very helpful. If we couldn't decide, they would bring us a little bit of each to taste. Between the three of us, we just about tried everything on the menu, even the gumbo, which we were hesitant to order because we are from New Orleans and no one does gumbo like New Orleans. IT WAS DELICIOUS!!!! The shrimp (spicy)appetizer and grilled artichoke appetizer were so delicious. The filet was excellent. The prawns were like lobster. The Tomahawk Pork Chop was so tender and juicy - cut it with a butter knife. Even more than the food, the wait staff were so much fun. They helped us celebrate and truly spoiled us. A special shout out to our waiter, Luis and to Roberto and Juan. You made us all feel like royalty. We stayed for hours and enjoyed every minute! We liked it so much we went back for our last night in Cancun and had another amazing time. I highly recommend this restaurant - best $35 I ever spent on such a delicious meal and fabulous service. THANK YOU FOR MAKING OUR 50th SO FANTASTIC!!!!

 Amazing New Steakhouse with incredible sunset views
My wife and I were in Cancun for a destination wedding at a neighboring hotel, and had grown quite tired of the offerings. We decided to check out the adjacent properties. As we walked into the Omni, we noticed what appeared to be a brand new restaurant bon the western side of the entry portico. We discovered that the Omni had just opened La Vista, and had hired the chef from Ruth's Chris. We were lucky enough to get a table next to the window, just in time for the sunset.They were running a special at $70 per person (which I suspect will not last long)to introduce people to the restaurant. We both had an appetizer, a salad, a wonderful steak, and desert, along with a few tropical drinks and glasses of wine.Everything was delicious, and our waiter Miguel was efficient and entertaining.He (along with his helper Jose) were right there when we needed something, and were both wonderful to deal with. We were so impressed, that we are going back tomorrow with friends.

The salad bar was a great help with the minimal wait time for entrees. I ordered the beef ribs but they had too much gristle so the chicken came out within minutes and was great

Elmer was the best server on site. My husband and I enjoyed his service so much that we cancelled a reservation in order to return to LaVista for a second time and enjoy another evening of service from Elmer. Elmer was delightful and paid attention to detail. Wish we had stumbled on LaVista earlier in our visit.

 Excellent food, excellent service.
This restaurant, located in the Omni, Cancun hotel was a steakhouse but is now a Thai restaurant. There is no longer an extra charge here for those on all inclusive unless you order lobster. The menu is varied and the food delicious.. The salad bar contains various cheeses including higher end like Brie and blue. You can also find an array of olives, artichoke hearts, shrimp and much more. The food presentation was impressive. The service is great and there is just enough ambiance. On one occasion an entertainer named James McLean appeared and sang a medley of songs. It was a great performance and he was definitely an asset to the Omni.

 Enjoyable Experience!
This upscale dining venue inside the Omni Cancun property has recently changed to be included in the All Inclusive Restaurant choices here at the Omni. A large lobster is available at a $35 up charge. View is beautiful, decor trendy , service impeccable, food delicious! All excellent reviews listed here are right on!

 La Vista (The View) Restaurant
La Vista offers 180 degree view of the lagoon, Facing West, so you will enjoy amazing sunsets while dining at this restaurant.The restaurant is across the Lobby of the Omni Hotel, and is not part of the All Inclusive experience. It is worth dining here during your stay.We chose the restaurant to dine for our family Christmas Dinner, and we were served all the traditional Christmas meal items, Turkey, Stuffing, Potatoes, and to die for dessert.

 Tastes & Colors of the Perfect Sunset Dining
We were very fortunate to experience an evening of fine dining at La Vista at the Omni Hotel & Villas in Cancun. This new restaurant is not only beautiful but it offers and serves the most delicious food. We were seated by the spacious windows with a sunset view and were served with excellence the entire evening. Our families' entrees included a wide variety; from the ribeye steak to the prime rib to the shrimp the food was excellent! Our individual server, Luis Burgos, along with his helpers made the evening one that we will always remember. He was extremely knowledgeable, efficient and most of all very kind and helpful. The restaurant is managed to 5 star quality under the direction of Jorge Campos. This is a restaurant that I would recommend to everyone! Be prepared to enjoy an evening of fine food, drinks and the colors of tropical perfection. *La Vista is also open for breakfast buffets where we also enjoyed delicious and healthy food!

They had just reopened the day before. We had a credit from our room so we decided to spend it at this supposedly all inclusive hotel The food was very good, tasty, flavorful, and good portions.The view of the laguna was very nice. The waiters very helpful and over doing with the attention and service, may be because we were the only fools spending $$$ to eat at an all inclusive place. The restaurant was empty only one other table with 2 people.Good food.

During our stay at The Omni Hotel we dined here twice. The food was very good and the service was great! We had an all inclusive package but there was a $24 per person surcharge to eat here and it was certainly worth it! I highly recommend the Clam Chowder as it is amazingly good and so are the crab cakes however I didn't eat anything that wasn't good and it was a nice break from the buffet. I do think they could look at improving their dessert selection/quality though. Give it a try especially if you are staying at The Omni Hotel.
