 Quesadillas for breakfast, yes!
This is my breakfast "go to" place when I don't have breakfast included with my hotel stay. They're so good and so affordable. Today I had 3 quesadillas and a coke (I know, breakfast) for 48 pesos! I always start out ordering 2 quesadillas but am craving a 3rd by the time I finish those. My favorite is "papas con chorizo" (potatoes with chorizo) followed by "tinga de res" (beef). Definitely worth a visit.

 Super affordable and great food!
I believe this is the most authentic Mexican food you will find in Cancun. My boyfriend and I have probably gone here around 3 times and it was always satisfying. Super affordable and they have a lot of great options as well. Will definitely miss this place.

 Good cheap food
Las Quekas has been a favorite of mine in Cancun. They have a variety of Quesadillas which are great, especially after going to some of the nightlife destinations on the strip. The staff is friendly, and the food is reasonably priced, although food can take some time.

 13 Pesos per Quesadilla
Ate at the one next to Hooters at the Punta (turning point) on the island. Had the black mushroom, meat and squash quesadillas. All were good and the salsas were excellent. Only 2 tables and a few extra chairs. Very small, mainly locals eat here.

Cheap eats on the go, perfect!
This is an open air eatery that may or may not have a place to sit. But the quesadillas and sopes are like 13 pesos, under a buck. You could make a meal out of them or just have one to hold you over until dinner (or still hungry after dinner snack). They have assorted meats to chose from and use hand made (right in front of you) tortillas and cheese, toast them on a grill and hand them to you hot. They have bottled drinks also. I would love to open one of these at the airport! Perfect!

 For only 13 pesos
When you walk down the sidewalk past this spot, you can't help but stop. The smell of the food cooking just pulls you in. Cheap. delicious food . Best to get it to go, or eat while standing on the sidewalk, I think there are only three chairs. Quesadillas of several varieties for only 13 pesos each. We ate there three times in two days.

 Fast local and cheap bites
Should've known just by the short line outside this place everytime I walked by just how good it is. They make amazing quesadillas and sopes from fresh ingredients, tortilla made to order and they stack the ingredients so even a hungry man could be satiated in a few bites. Two Sopes for $15 pesos, can't beat that. Great as hangover food or those on a budget. Highly recommend to try this place. The ladies working there speak English and are very friendly. Sometimes standing room only but it's small and quaint.

This a fantastic place to grab a quick bite for lunch or dinner. Locals come for the inexpensive and large, satisfying quesadillas made to order. For 130 pesos, its a deal! Your choice of chicken, pork, beef or shrimp fill corn tortillas with fresh vegetables and or cheese. There is even a delicious vegetarian poblanas pepper quesadillas. Red and green sauce is on hand at the table, but watch out, the green sauce is habanero! The simpliar the cuisine, the more yummy it is

 OMG Quesadillas!!!!!!! WOW
These quesadillas are to die for!! They are open 24 hours a day and the line is long no matter what time you go. We got there just before the line got too long. We ordered a Rajas Pablano, a Beef Tinga, a Chicken Tinga, and 2 plain Queso. Talk about fresh fresh fresh tortillas, they make them there as you wait for your food. 13 pesitos for 1 nice sized quesadilla filled with what you want. I think the Rajas Pablanos and the Chicken Tinga were the best. You definitely cant beat the queso though! The beef was ok too much lime I think. I liked them so much, I got in line again to order another after 2 people had just ordered 30 each and waited another 30 minutes to get mine. Definitely a must. It is right next to Hooters bar. Do not miss out no matter how long the line is!

 Best Tacos We Found.
This place is near the Fiesta Americana Coral Beach and right next to the Hooters location. Two small plastic tables and a line waiting for the Tacos to be made. One girl making the Tacos and one grilling them on the large metal disc, and a checker. That's it. We bought these a few times and took them back to the condo we were renting. Large 8" tacos and the mushroom and chicken ones were great.

So cheap and delicious you'll want to try everything
My boyfriend and I asked our driver to take us somewhere he likes to eat. He brought us to Las Quekas which was a small quesadilla and sope shop with seating only available outside and mostly local patrons. These quesadillas were so good and cheap, we figured out how to return on our own (using the convenient bus from the hotel zone to the downtown area) and we made sure we returned a couple more times during our stay. There are a variety of fillings to accompany the Oaxacan cheese including mushrooms, chorizo, beef, chicken, chicharron, poblanos and potato. Since the quesadillas were so cheap, we were able to try most of the fillings. (Mushrooms were my favorite.)We visited the downtown location in Plaza las Avenidas. It was nice to have a break from the tourist areas. If this location doesn't exist anymore, I've read more locations have popped up around Cancun. I still crave these quesadillas and will occasionally search Las Quekas on the internet hoping they'll make their way to California.

 Very Good Fast Food Chain
This is often by go to place when I need to pick up a quick snack. I often buy them to take to the hotel or for a bus trip. Not a great place to dine in since they are very basic with few fans and can be hot an uncomfortable. But I see most customers are also doing take out and a great place for that. They are a large chain and I often use them for a quick meal anywhere I travel.I primarily eat the Quesadillas and they have a good variety to choose from. All made while you wait and all the ingredients seem to be of good quality. And, they are generous with the ingredient chosen and the cheese on all the Quesadillas .Really, you won't go wrong here if wanting to grab a fast snack on the go.

 Authentic
We stumbled upon this funky, authentic small Mexican restaurant because it was right across the street from our hotel. As we watched the ladies making the dough and then putting it on the huge heating stove, adding the fillings and cheese, we couldn't resist watching any more and had to go in and order a couple of these quesedillas. They were served hot to the table and very good. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. It's great value for money.

Great and Inexpensive Mexican franchise went you want the "real thing"
Sometimes you just wanna go native - and in Cancun's Hotel Zone that 'ain't easy. You're swamped by high-end, loud, pricey, and touristy places that I personally can take or leave. It's not what I want from a trip abroad. Maybe it's because I live in NYC and have it all at my fingertips whenever the mood strikes....Anyway....So I asked our porter to recommend something "native." He suggested Las Quekas - a franchise of quesadilla stands scattered around Cancun's Hotel Zone. There are several on the strip - just ask any local for the nearest one.CHEAP and DELICIOUS. What more can I say? You might have a bit of a language barrier (easily overcome by pointing - and Mexicans are the friendliest, most accommodating people in the world) and you might be put off by the very basic (translation: authentically Mexican) ambience, but we were thrilled to be interacting with locals on their level and sitting at plastic chairs and tables in a REAL Mexican environment. The menu is basically the same in all of them, but the fillings appear to be prepared fresh by the owners and really satisfied us. The deal is you order three quesadillas and a drink (no alcohol here) for a flat price. There will be signs posted listing what you can order and how much the deal is at the time - - VERY cheap and very fun eating.Mind you, this is NOT FINE DINING, but it is FINE FUN, and a bit of real Mexico in a place that feels more like Disneyland than the Land of the Maya.

 Yum !!!!
This is a great place to have a basic staple in Mexican food - the quesadilla. It is super fresh made to order super simple food. You will have to wait in line though as it can get looongg. There is a shortage of chairs and tables on busy nights. It's worth the wait. If you go around the block you will find the competition that has more seating, less wait and is 2 pesos more expensive. I did not eat there so I can't recommend it but it is difficult to mess up a quesadilla.

 A Late-Night Must
Las Quekas is awesome for that time after the bar when you want something cheap, quick, & tasty. It's right beyond Congo & though sometimes the wait is about 10 minutes & seating can be hard to find, the prices are excellent & the food never disappoints. The selection isn't extensive, but try something new (like the mushrooms) & use the sauce - delicious!

Something different (quesadillas and sopas)! Walked around downtown (by Coco Bongos) and wanted something "local" and quick and cheap. They weren't exactly quick, but it's just a few women making the tortillas fresh and right there in front of you. It was about 9:30 p.m. and it was busy.

It's right beyond Congo & though sometimes the wait is about 10 minutes & seating can be hard to find, the prices are excellent & the food never disappoints. The selection isn't extensive, but try something new (like the mushrooms) & use the sauce - delicious!

 Fun local spot!

 Fast, inexpensive, tasty
If you're looking for a really cheap meal that's made right in front of you, this is the place to go! They are open 24 hours, with the busiest hours being late at night. The tortillas are handmade with each quesadilla or sope made! The variety of options is good for a place this small---my favorites are chorizo, and also the creamy poblano pepper ones. The current prices are 13 pesos for a quesadilla and 15 pesos for a sope. Ask for your food "para llevar" if you'd like it to-go!

Great tacos for a great price
We ate here many times on our trip. The tacos are just over a dollar, 13 pesos, and good. They make it all right there in front of you. Great taco stand.

 Basic fast food for Mexico
Good place to stop if you're on the run and need a quick bite. A variety of tortilla fillings to choose from for a very low price. They are found all over the city and in the shopping mall.

 Cheap and delicious!
39 pesos for 2 quesadillas! You can’t beat that price. They have a couple of vegetarian options and the place is relatively clean.

 Good Quesadillas!
An outdoor seating offers you a view of local and tourist people here. The quesadillas were so good, they make them in front of you and they have different fillings and they have fresh ingredients. We ate in the one located in the Tulum Avenue. We enjoyed our visit here. Enjoy your meal!

 Authentic cheap and tasty
Big quesadillas while you wait - problem is they were out of half of the menu items today, and I really wanted to try the zucchini flower (floor de calabeza) quesadilla but the poblano (with cream and peppers) and mushrooms (champinones) were very good. It's not fast food (just looks like it) and it is hot as hell in there. But it is delicious and authentic. And cheap - you can eat a big quesadilla and a delicious hibiscus drink for under $2US. I docked them a star for being out of most menu items...

 Try it!
We visited this place as part of our food tour (great) n enjoyed the Tinga de res n Tinga de pollo quesadillas. The food was good n very inexpensive. Definitely a place where the locals eat. FYI, though,The 'restaurant ' is essentially a food truck permanently located there with outdoor seating. The actual food in the quesadillas is minimal, slivers of chicken or ground meat, along with cheese, but still flavorful. My husband loved one of the hot sauces available at the tables. Get several or do what we did n order just 1-2 tacos at several restaurants!!

Quick bite while waiting for the ADO bus
Las Quekas is a small hole in the wall, a local eatery very close to the Cancun bus terminal. I had a 2-hour wait for my bus, this was the closest local place I found that was open.Didn’t feel like Subway, KFC, Church’s, or any of the other myriad US chain fast food places in the area, I don’t travel so I can eat the same kinds of food that are available at home. Much prefer to experience life as a local, with all of it's colourful elements, such as they are.Las Quekas will require some Spanish language skills, as they do not speak English, and every time I’ve been there, I am the only Gringo in the place. The food is cheap, fast, and tasty - soups, empanadas, typical Mexican fare. Empanadas were 13pesos each, as were the drinks. Not a lot of ambiance here, simply a great place to grab a quick bite while in transit, not a fancy restaurant where one would want to spend some time for a relaxing meal. The bathroom is, well, typical of those you find while travelling in Mexico; nothing fancy, it did have a toilet seat (something that can be a luxury in parts of Mexico), but it’ll get you through in a pinch. The other option is to pay to use the sanitario in the ADO bus station, which is nicer, and cleaner.

WOW ! in the worst way possible
After visiting a lot of Mexico we finished up in Cancun and noticed the people are a lot ruder here. Well this place took it to a new level ! I stood there for over 5 mins at the counter while the lady completely ignored me and counted money. I said hello and she kept ignoring me. No hello sorry il be a minute or anything. I should have left but I was so hungry and couldn't bothered looking any further for a place to eat in the heat. Thinking alright surely the food will be worth it. No it wasn't. I should have just eaten a cardboard box it would have been tastier and less rude. Don't waste your time !
