Restaurante Careyes, Cancun

 Delightful surprise
The views are hard to beat, being located as it is ON the waterfront, white beach, blue sea, paradise. And yet the food still wins the prize for reasons to visit. Outstanding fresh fish especially, oysters, ceviche and tuna tartare. Even the simple salad was wonderful. Definitely recommend!

 Great food, great service
Food: this has a feel of an American steakhouse with a Mexican bent. Everything is excellent especially the fish. I would say it’s one of the best repeatable restaurants in the resort.Service: Excellent service and the tables are extra clean with all white tablecloth and plate.View: excellent view as it’s a second floor building on the oceanWe forgot our hat at a restaurant and they picked it up for us here.

 Careyes at Grand Oasis Palm
Careyes at the Grand Oasis Palm is a 5 star restaurant. Excellent food and the staff; Pablo, Justino, Marco and Alejandro are the absolute best. We ate there 4 times on our last trip. Our favorites were the scallops, lamb chops, beef, salmon and the duck. Soups are fantastic as are the starters. I would highly recommend Careyes at the Grand Oasis Palm to all.

 Romantic setting, gourmet food
I recommend onion soup, garlic shrimp, french bread, professional service, white glove, white roses!

 So good, we doubled up
My girlfriend and I just got back from a week at the Grand Oasis Pyramid and our second night there we decided to go to Careyes for dinner and we liked it so much we decided to go again our last night there. The view over the ocean is incredible (inside and outside seating) and the wait staff is absolutely wonderful. The fish and steaks are fantastic and my girlfriend talked about the chocolate cake all week.

 You must visit this restaurant!!
We haven't even finished our holiday yet, however I must say if I could give this restaurant 10 stars I would. My boyfriend and I have been here for a week so far and we have already visited 3 times for lunch and once for dinner. As a couple, we enjoy good food back home, and this restaurant is the only one so far we have thought was exceptional, especially as it is included in the all inclusive black wristband. I always have the chicken ceaser salad and a calamari for starter because they are both SO good - probably the best ceaser salad I've had. My boyfriend and I then always share the Tomahawk steak, which is served on a salt rock and always cooked to perfection. There's a variety of sides and sauces to choose from as well that are always so nice. There's plenty on the menu whether it be steak or fish dishes, we've also had the garlic shrimp which is incredible too - I'm not even a huge fan of shrimp! The waiters are so attentive, especially Eduardo! Couldn't fault the service, food or view. As for desserts, I always find at all inclusive hotels the desserts lack in quality. However here have the best desserts in the hotel out of all the restaurants. There's only 4 to choose from but all good! It's not like what we're used to at home, but it's good enough for someone with a huge sweet tooth like me. I will miss this place for our sea view lunches when we return to the cold and rainy UK!

 We loved Careyes on our vacation
One of the best restaurants we found during our week in Cancun. The food was excellent and the service was even better. Eduardo, Victor, Angel, Wilbert, Paulina and Antonio made us feel right at home. We were laughing and taking pictures the whole time. We liked it so much we went back a second time. Highly recommended!

 Careyes is Delectable!
I entered Careyes hot, tired, and flustered and Ignacio warmly greeted me as if I was an angel coming to bestow blessings, lol. He sat me down in this beautiful restaurant overlooking a gorgeous view of the beach and offered me a drink. I refused him until I heard the word Malbec. Woo hooo! Oasis only served cabernet sauvignon and chardonnay (wines that I don’t like.) at the places that I dined. After Ignacio gave me the menu and the wine, his smile and his conversation catalyzed me into serenity, lol. My friend finally showed up and Ignacio had welcoming Welbert assist us. We ordered the gratifying garlic sumptuous shrimp, the seasoned airy grouper, calamari, and chocolate cake. OMG! Everything was delicious!!! I wanted to take a dish to my room for dinner but they don’t have take out : (. The chocolate creamy cake was so good I ordered another piece and had to leave there feeling like an overstuffed turkey on Thanksgiving Day. Also, Ignacio happily provided me a plastic cup of Malbec to take with me after I complained that I couldn’t get it anywhere. Thank you Ignacio and Welbert for making our sumptuous meal with salubrious service and amazing ambience into a delectable dining experience.

The food here was an experience. It was very yummy and the service was fantastic. We loved it so much we went back a second time. Would recommend this restaurant to anyone.

 Came here 7 times in 2 weeks!!!!!!!!!
This is by far the boat and most amazing restaurant I have ever been to not only in cancun but in my life. I really want a careyes back home. I am so happy we discovered this restaurant on the first night because we came back- sometimes we came for lunch AND dinner in the same day it was just that good. This restaurant is probably what I am going to miss most about my cancun holiday. I tried everything. This restaurant is the first time and place i Tried Oysters- they were great. The fried calamari is to die for. Chicken ceaser salad is amazing as well as the shrimp. The steaks are cooked to perfection and I love the little baps that come out with olive oil and balsamic vinegar to start. I tried fillet mingnon for the first time. I really wish I tried the lobster but I'm sure this was just as good. You are guaranteed a great feed here, not just seafood, the steak and chicken salad were awesome. The STAFF are awesome and we're so greatful to see us coming back so many times. I would like to personally thank Adrian who was amazing the whole time. Always had a big smile when he saw us coming. Victor always made sure we had enough to drink. Can't remember the other names- but they're allllll fab! 5* from me

 Delicious meal and excellent staff!
It was a rainy afternoon so we took a break for lunch. We were in our beachwear but could still get a table at Careyes. The catch of the day and the flank steak were excellent as well as all of the side items. Dessert was awesome too! Staff was so nice and service was fantastic...Victor, Rigoberto, Wilbert, Angel.

 Best place to eat
Would recommend this to everyone who loves sea food, food is AWESOME, you have to try the oasis salad, garlic shrimp, roasted garlic mashed potatoes roasted, flank steak, you can thank me later!!!

 Amazing! Amazing! Amazing!
We have stayed in the pyramid grand oasis for 13 days so far. And go home tomorrow. We are going back to careyes tonight for our last dinner before going home. The food is so nice, the steaks are to die for. The peppercorn sauce is the best I have ever tried. My partner has enjoyed the seafood. Top quality wine I had with my steak. The staff are so welcoming, friendly and go the extra mile to ensure you have an enjoyable experience. Special mention to nóe and Gabriel who are two gentleman and made sure we had everything we needed, thank you guys! We have sat outside everytime we went as you have an amazing view of the moon and sea. Very romantic. Would recommend to anyone! Our favourite restaurant by miles on the complex. Keep up the good work❤ xx

 Great Restraunt
Some of best food I have eaten all summer. My wife got the lobster tail and I got a t-bone steak. The steak was delicious and my wife loved the lobster as well. This without a doubt the best restaurant at the Pyramid Oasis. It was clean and the service was excellent.

 Great view and nice restaurant
I came here last year, this is 2nd time for me. First time, it wasn't impressed by them. This time , everything is perfect. Got the nice table which I can see the sunset by the ocean. Food was excellent, service is great. Our service name are Noe, Grabriel. Great job for them.Will be back here again if I stay at Grand Oasis Cancun.

 Great Restraunt

 Mexican avant garde
Very interesting combination of Mexican and French cuisine, well elaborated and with good presentation. Mexican flavours cooked with French techniques, good wine list and excellent service.

After reading rave reviews on Trip Advisor, including their #3 ranking in Cancun, we made reservations at Careyes on a weeknight. We arrived at 6:45 and were the only diners present. We told our servers we had found Careyes on Trip Advisor We seek out top rated restaurants, usually with excellent results. While there were several waiters milling about Careyes, and no other guests, the service was very slow and confused. We waited and waited to give our drink orders, and when my vodka tonic finally arrived, the vodka was undetectable. The menu was a reasonable fixed price ($55-65 with lobster), with cocktails included and wine extra. They were out of the featured wine, so we ordered another. Having noted favorite dishes in the reviews, we ordered several of them. The food was just barely average; nothing like the reviews had led us to expect. While there, we learned that each of the 3 Grand Oasis Resorts in Cancun has a Careyes dining room, but this was the one featured on Trip Advisor. Interestingly, Careyes places great emphasis on having reservations, (our concierge was told he'd have to wait an hour before our reservations could be confirmed), yet by the time we had finished our meal, there were only 4 tables with guests in a medium sized dining room. Overall, a big disappointment.Apparently, someone had alerted the manager to our " Trip Advisor " comment. He mistakenly went to a table nearby, and finally made his way to us. We asked whether there had been recent changes at the restaurant, but he said there had been none. I don't normally write restaurant reviews, but this time I felt it necessary, considering Carreyes' top ranking in Cancun. I would not recommend it.
