 The best restaurant!
We went to Tempo for the first time three days ago and it was a great experience :) we were received with a Prosseco glass and the staff was very friendly. The degustation menu was amazing! And the little details like giving me a rose were very appreciated. Ive seen bad reviews from people who weren't accepted because of their casual outfit and I think it is out of respect to dress very nicely to a restaurant like Tempo. I appreciate the dress code is elegant (I wore a dress and high heels) so all the environment fits the elegance of the experience. I looked around other tables and I saw elegant good looking people enjoying a glass of wine or celebrating something special and it was great. I think this is what make it different from other "fancy" restaurants who let people in with shorts or open toe sandals. If Tempo was like this I wouldn't want to go back as much as I do now. I totally recommend Tempo for a unique dinner date and celebrations.

We have visited a lot of nice places and have had many trendy multi course restaurants and Tempo came up #1 tonight. Food is delicious and big portioned. Wine pairing is just perfect. Carlos the head sommelier was so friendly and informative. We for sure want to come back.

 One Outstanding meal!!!
This restaurant is outstanding; as good as the one in San Sebastian. Service, you have two persons permanently taking care of you, and explaining the food. The menu was comprehensive, all types of meats and seafoods prepared in the "Berasategui" way. Simply superb. The wine list, one of the most comprehensive I've seen. I was offered wine from Transilvania (Romania), and was very good. It is suggested to make reservations.

My husband and I visited on vacation last week. We've eaten many high end meals and this was right up there with the best. We were greeted with champagne. We both got the tasting menu and the premium wine pairing. Words do not do this experience justice. Each course was tastier than the last. We ate at Passion by Martin Berasategui in Punta Cana but feel this experience was much better. ATTENTIVE staff. AMAZING food. Would have appreciated a little more attention from the sommelier after purchasing the premium pairing. However there was an unruly rude attention seeking blonde who seemed to suck most of the staff's attention with the tantrum she was having! However we didn't let this ruin our evening.

My friend and I stayed at the Paradisus hotel and we were told about the 6 Michelin star restaurant. From the time we enter the restaurant until we left the customer service at this place was AMAZINGGGG!! We felt very welcomed and the food was delishhhh!! We had the tasting menu and it was totally worth it. We had an amazinngggggg waiter, his name was Miguel. He was tentative, friendly and overall we had an amazing night. Besides the lovely dishes, we also LOVEDDD the bread and butter that was with the meal. That also made our night as well. I highly recommend going to this restaurant and I will definitely return back here if I was in Mexico again.

We came here for our honeymoon. We did the tasting menu with champagne pairing. It was incredible. Splurge and book the private wine room. It's an experience you won't forget!

 Perfection
I was not aware these type of restaurant existed in Cancún. I mean, the idea of fine dining at the beach normally involves a nice piece of fish and some cute sides at astonishingly absurd prices. Tempo is in that regard a temple of taste, innovation and service. No wonder why the chef has so many Michelin stars under his arm. We both took the tasting menu (for approximately 60 dollars) with pairing wines (an extra 50). Dish after dish we were wowed with the creativity and flavour put on a plate. The pairing wines were also spectacular. Butter fish, kimchi tuna tartare, lamb and Camembert sphere, code with onion marmalade were my favourite moments of the night. Service was also spot on. So thankful we had the opportunity to dine here.

 Gastronomy heaven in Cancun
Spending thanksgiving holidays in Cancun. As a foodie and wanting something special for 25th wedding anniversary, we made a reservation at Tempo that by all accounts was amazing owned by its amazing Spanish chef Martin Berastegui with several Michelin stars. The reviews and write ups did not disappoint. It was every bit as great as what others before had experienced. My wife and I each had the seven course meal experience. Each dish was presented with the most care and all in white glove service. The attention to detail by the staff is second to none. Our lead waiter Rigoberto was incredibly amazing yet most sensitive to our needs and taking time to explain each dish. It was a culinary feast that blends the traditional like foi gras with the leading techniques of today used in the great restaurants of Spain. We skipped on the wine pairing and chose instead an amazing Paul Hobbs Pinot that blended well with each course. This was a personal choice. Having travelled extensively and experienced great culinary treats this has to rank as one of the top 10. Highly recommend Tempo. Book early as they only have capacity for 40 guests each night. It’s an experience so set aside 2-3 hours and you won’t regret it. It’s located in the Paradisus Melia hotel. Consider this a heavenly culinary event and splurge on Tempo.

I did not expect to find this great restaurant at an all-inclusive and big hotel. We were seated at the wine cellar which is a private space (it’s a bit cold) and very nice setting. On a Monday, we were offered the Tasting Menu only which is well worth it. Many different and innovative dishes with a great selection of wine.Service is very good but plan ahead as the tasting menu can take almost 2 hours (but who is in a rush in Cancun!!)It is expensive and it is NOT included in the all-inclusive plan of the hotel.Will recommend and will be back!

Service and food was excellent. Goose foie gras was the best we've ever had. The wine pairings were beyond exquisite.

We were there for my husband's birthday and it was amazing! Impecable service, a mix of Spanish and Mexican haut cuisine and a great wine list. The ambiance is quite elegant and ideal for romantic dinners.

Best restaurant in Paradisus Cancun and the only restaurant not included in the all-inclusive package, walk in through the door and you’ll find out why. We picked food & wine tasting and it was a great experience, over 10 dishes and exotic wines/champagne served with utmost professionalism. I proposed to my fiancee here, the manager was very helpful...he had the pianist play her favorite songs and he personally ‘served’ the ring in a plate covered with red roses as the last dish, it was beautiful. She obviously said yes...lolA bit pricey but totally worth it.

We have recently been to Cancun on holiday. Myself my partner and my daughter(15). We booked here to do something a little different and try a tasting menu. The Venue is spacious, elegant with a sharp well designed decor. The staff were as would you expect with fine dining and they were. My partner had the vegetarian tasting menu and we had the standard tasting menu.Trying to teach youngsters about food is difficult, but when it is served with various varieties of wines by a top class sommelier helps. When he explains where why and what there is to know about wine and why it has been chosen with the food we had an attentive daughter (student) and we had a great experience.Well done a great family night out thanks.then and a top class sommelier to explain tastes and fusions

Tha ambience is excellent and their food is exceptionally tasteful. You can tell the chef is definitely exemplary, this restaurant and chef belongs to Beverly Hills area restaurants.

From the moment Clement greeted us with champagne, to receiving the rose upon departure, this was absolutely wonderful. The chef owner is from Spain and has a cumulative eight Michelin stars. This is a five diamond AAA restaurant. It is absolutely lovely. The Cuisine is fresh, inventive, imaginative, molecular and exquisite. Choose the fixed meal, at about US$80, 180 if you choose to do the wine peering with it. Our server, Florencio, was absolutely spectacular also. I can't say enough about this meal. You will just marvel at how they were able to construct flavors and presentations. The dishes are works of art, but also, tremendously inventive and uniquely delicious. Splurge and come to this restaurant. In reality, it is really a bargain, a very rare in a lifetime experience. Well behaved children are welcome, however, this is a quiet and formal atmosphere. I would not print sorry were not able to behave for a three hour extravaganza. The executive chef even came out at the end of the meal to answer any questions. It was really wonderful

This a molecular gastronomy at its best! Staff very attentive, live piano ambiance very serene, mirrored mosaic walls and glowing onyx lamps, treated royal, a mixed Basque and Mexican cuisine. A must experience. Memorable!

Type of cuisine: Contemporary BasqueIt was said “If you get the hospitality right, the food tastes better”. White glove service! The host, the maître d', the servers, the chef… They all were attentive and strived to offer us an exquisite experience. The live piano ambiance is mesmerizing, an addition to a classy elegant décor. The plates were unique in form and taste as each one is delicately shaped and prepared, it indulge your senses, the technique of adding bubbles and making foams along with the combination of colors, textures, and flavors makes this molecular gastronomy inspirational and pleasant. The dinner went flawless. We started by a couple of the chef’s compliment dishes, which also continued in between courses as small treats, very appreciated!My wife preferred to try the tasting menu, a 9-course dinner, counting the tuna tartar, the foie gras, the beet caviar, the beef cheek, the butterfish, and the dessert with the melt-in-your-mouth Chocolate Rock… Different silverware and bread were changed with every course along with a description of each dish. I opted for the lobster from the à la carte menu, which was delicious.We asked for the Bui spring water, they served it as if a champagne, sophisticatedly! So is the red rose given to the lady at the table by the end of the dinner, a nice gesture!My wife had a small request to cut down on the salt; some of the dishes were leaning to be salty for her. The resort page states that it is an adult-only restaurant while there were kids at the table vis-à-vis. Tempo is a must try for people who appreciate different cuisines and techniques. Our total dinner cost about US$200.

It's been two weeks since we returned from Cancun and not a day has gone by without us reminiscing about our dinner at Tempo. Amazing, Unforgettable, Special......if you are a foodie and in Cancun this is a must!Our waiter Florencio made sure that we felt as if we were the only ones in the restaurant. Clement, the Manager, took care of our every need. Sommelier Carlos' wine pairings were on a different level. At his recommendation we went with the premium pairings and it was so worth it. Thank you Chef Ismael for an unbelievable dinner. Each course amazed and delighted us. Thanks again for a great and special night!!

We thoroughly enjoyed the Tempo experience. From the moment we walked in, the ambiance was perfect. Clement greeted us with champagne and the lovely sound of the piano. The tasting menu with the wine pairing was spectacular. Iran Cervantes, the sommelier, perfectly paired the wines with each small plate. He was very informative and educated us on each wine. They were all excellent. The food was absolutely delicious and the portions were perfect. We were treated like royalty. Our waiter Rudy was wonderful, very personable and very attentive. It was well worth the price. If you enjoy a classy restaurant, with great food, wine and excellent service, then you must visit Tempo.

From the moment you walk in they hand you a cup of champagne with a rose petal inside. We had an amazing waiter named Miguel who explained every dish to us. He was very kind and attentive to us. I highly recommend him. The Sommelier, Iran Cervantes was extremely nice and explained every wine that was being served to us in detail. Each wine was paired perfectly with the dish being served to us. Chef Ismael came out to greet us after the meal and took a picture with us. This was definitely a birthday to remember. I highly recommend this place to anyone who is looking for an amazing culinary experience.

 Absolutely outstanding!
Where to begin...My wife and I love great food, whether it at a dive bar or a white-gloved waiter and silver plate sort of place. Tempo is definitely the latter. First, let me me congratulate our waiter Daniel on an excellent presentation. He was basically flawless in his delivery of our tasting menu. He looks very young, but is clearly very knowledgeable about every item on the menu and can put each item in context for the full dinner presented. While we didn't choose a very high-end wine, our sommelier Iran was helpful and very respectful which was much appreciated. Let's face it, the star here is the food. From the tuna tartar to the beef cheeks to the chocolate rock (just go look at the tasting menu on the website - it's not complete, but gives you an idea of what to expect), each course was an exploration of how fine ingredients can all blend to create perfect texture and flavor. Though several of the items were nothing I would have ever chosen a la carte, I cleaned my plate at each course. This is beautiful food and, while formal, the restaurant is in no way pretentious. Congratulations to Chef Ismael and the manager Clement - you represent Martin B. well. ¡Excepcional! P.S. For a restaurant of this caliber (both food and service), the price will pleasantly surprise you.

 Top notch restaurant
Oh my goodness! Words fail. This unexpected treat was the perfect ending to our wonderful week in Cancún. The service was superb, the staff knowledgeable and attentive. And the food. OH the food!! We chose the tasting menu and although there several things I was leery to try, I was pleasantly surprised and loved everything that was served to me. The creative blending of flavors and beautiful presentation continued to wow us throughout the entire experience. A final note, I have a couple of food sensitivities but this didn't faze the restaurant staff or chef. They modified my food seamlessly and I never felt that I was missing a thing.

He looks very young, but is clearly very knowledgeable about every item on the menu and can put each item in context for the full dinner presented. While we didn't choose a very high-end wine, our sommelier Iran was helpful and very respectful which was much appreciated. Let's face it, the star here is the food. From the tuna tartar to the beef cheeks to the chocolate rock (just go look at the tasting menu on the website - it's not complete, but gives you an idea of what to expect), each course was an exploration of how fine ingredients can all blend to create perfect texture and flavor. Though several of the items were nothing I would have ever chosen a la carte, I cleaned my plate at each course. This is beautiful food and, while formal, the restaurant is in no way pretentious. Congratulations to Chef Ismael and the manager Clement - you represent Martin B. well. ¡Excepcional! P.S. For a restaurant of this caliber (both food and service), the price will pleasantly surprise you.

 Top notch restaurant
Oh my goodness! Words fail. This unexpected treat was the perfect ending to our wonderful week in Cancún. The service was superb, the staff knowledgeable and attentive. And the food. OH the food!! We chose the tasting menu and although there several things I was leery to try, I was pleasantly surprised and loved everything that was served to me. The creative blending of flavors and beautiful presentation continued to wow us throughout the entire experience. A final note, I have a couple of food sensitivities but this didn't faze the restaurant staff or chef. They modified my food seamlessly and I never felt that I was missing a thing.

We have had the wonderous fortune of dining at many one and two michelin star restaurants and tonight, this exceeded them all. We both got the tasting menu along with the premium wine pairing. One of us had dietary issues, which they accommodated for amazingly well. The service from Daniel was outstanding from the beginning to the end and the food was unbelievable. The courses were all amazing but our favorite was probably the red tuna tartare with kimchi sauce with citrus ponzu pearls and snow ice of Ginger and Cherry. If you want an experience that you will not forget don't hesitate going

I highly recommend this restaurant. It is in the Paradisus Resort. It is a beautiful place. The food is amazing. We went with the Tasting Menu. It was an absolute wonderful experience. The service is amazing and the food is delicious! From the butter variety all the way to dessert. We also had the ham and cheese variety for appetizer and it was amazing. Can't say enough about this experience. It's no wonder they are Michelin rated. If you go with the Tating Menu, plan on staying for about three hours.

My partner and I had the pleasure of dining at Tempo whilst staying in Cancun. The restaurant was beautifully designed and very elegant. The meal was well thought out and there were always different textures on the plate.Our waiter Carlos was very knowledgeable and professional.

Four years ago we experienced this tasting experience for the first time, on our wedding anniversary. Last night we came upon it by accident, having forgotten the name of it, while searching unsuccessfully for a fine dining restaurant. The first two closed at 10 p.m. and at 9:30 p.m. they would not permit our entry. Though they were "ranked" higher by Trip Advisor, we were delightfully surprised to find Tempo open (till 11 p.m.) and they graciously allowed us entry. We remembered it instantly and were delighted to be greeted so warmly, to be entertained by a talented piano player, and to again experience the culinary excellence of this restaurant with an eight course tastings experience that had foods like no other you can find. Hard to grasp the intellect that goes into each creation, especially when you are not a culinary expert, but the end product of each was simply exquisite. AND so much fun not knowing what to expect. We thought it was much more fun than the usual touristy Carlos & Charlie's or Senor Frog experience!

Tonight I had the opportunity to entertain some VIP Executives from Korea at Tempo by Martin Berasategui, the entire group commented that dinner experience (11-course tasting menu plus wine pairing) was exquisite, luxury and service for was top notch. Food portions are ideal to enjoy the full menu and wines were delicious. If you stay in Cancún I highly recommend you to have a dinner here, either for business or with your loved one.

The meal began with a complimentary champagne and it got better from that. The food was delicious and the service was exceptional. We can not wait to return! I went with my husband and my daughter and we all had the tasting menu and the wine pairing. You leave feeling very full as the portions are bigger than a normal tasting menu! Our favorites were the tuna, corn soup, butter fish, and the veal cheeks! The breads were phenomenal and at each course they give you a fresh piece with 4 complimentary butters! The service was phenomenal and we cannot wait to come back next year!

Reading the tripadvisor reviews convinced me that Tempo was a place worth trying. Tempo by Martin Berasategui, a Michelin star chef from Basque, far exceeded our expectations. On the last Friday of the month, Tempo features a special ingredient in their tasting menu. We enjoyed dinner on the last Friday of the month of May which featured fois gras. It was perfection from beginning to end!We dined at other fine dining venues in the Riviera including Passion by Martin Berasategui as well as Pavo Real by the Sea. TEMPO was not only THE best restaurant in the Riviera but it was also one of the TOP dining experiences that we have EVER had!The staff were superb including waiter Florencio, manager Clement, sommelier Carlos, and hostess Isabel. Chef Ismael came out at the end of the dinner to say hello. It was quiet and romantic with live piano music and top notch service! Tasting menu is required though it can adapted to food allergies. They also have wine pairings available. I will dream about this place for a long, long time! We look forward to coming back there!

Great visit and service - tasting menu was delicious although we asked that a couple of ingredients are substituted which was not a problem. a lot of attention to detail on the plate - presentation of food was superb too. rose for a woman was a nice touch as well as a honeymoon surprise macaroons. would come back.

 Deserves at least one Michelin star
A very classy restaurant with immacutely prepared dishes that are creative, tasty and filling. Price of tasting menu with the wine pairing is a real bargain and not something you can get in most Western countries for restaurants of similar calibre. Staff were very attentive to our needs and extremely polite (our waiter Rigoberto was a really friendly guy).If you want to have an evening of fine dining while in Cancun that won´t burn a hole in your wallet, this is the right place to come to.

 Fantastic!
Wish I could give this place 6 stars! We loved the decor and lighting, and were dressed accordingly. This is a place for foodies who like to dress up and not for those who like steak and potatoes and like to go out in shorts. We went for the tasting menu and the premium wine selection. Every plate that was served was most artistic and had phenomenal flavors. Think we had all-in-all 12 different dishes, among which butter fish and and veal cheeks. The main desert was so good it felt like heaven. With every dish we were served a different small piece of bread that seemed to have been chosen specifically for that particular dish. So was the wine. The wine selections were spot on and very good although we would have liked to have had a sommelier who described the selection in a bit more detail rather than just mention what was stated on the wine's label. We plan to come back next time we visit Cancun: what an experience during an already fantastic vacation!

 Amazing Anniversary Dinner
This was our 2nd time dining here in the past 3 years and it did not disappoint. The service by Rudy and team was top notch and the tasting menu was impeccable. We did not do the wine pairings because they had a particular Spanish red that caught our eye that we wanted a bottle of. The sommelier had a wonderful discussion with us in helping us narrow it down between 3 bottles. The presentation of the food was pure art, it tasted delicious, and again the staff was just amazing. Definitely do yourself a favor, ditch the all inclusive food wherever you are staying, and make a reservation here.

My husband and I had the tasting menu with the wine pairings. The food was delicious and very different. There was one course I did not want- the fois gras; the waiter suggested that the chef could substitute a gazpacho. That was very tasty. The desserts were my favorite and included homemade chocolates. This is definitely a gourmet restaurant which would not be enjoyable by children.Incredibly we had the same waiter, Carlos Pondelo, as we did a year ago when we celebrated my sister's birthday. He was courteous and helpful.

I had testing menu, to try different food and enjoyed it.it was very tasty, vegetable and fish dishes I loved more then meat.And of cause all sweets were incredible.Butter was too salty for me but maybe it's just my taste.Service was good, it's just some dishes they removed without asking me if I am going to eat it.The selection of music, that was played by audio and live also, was depressing. It would be nice to have some enlighten music with such an exquisite dishes.

Visited Tempo for my birthday dinner. The staff did look after us well. We were welcomed with complimentary drinks. Our waiter was very friendly and explained it well each course of the tasting menu. Had a mini birthday surprise from the restaurant in the end with a red rose to take home. Amazing dining experience! Thank you.

It is quite a walk from the entry to the restaurant, but the resort lobby is beautiful. Each of the courses were explained to us. It's not a dinner of quantity but of quality. Wine package was available. For a party of 6 with one wine package and non alcoholic drinks for the other party members, the was about $735.00 including gratuity. We spent about 3 hours tasting a variety of fine foods.
